Linux or OSX is so awesome

Yeah, OSX is a nice OS. Just a shame it's made by Apple.

quick question while SN and KW are both up and about,

my Tapatalk app is in a permanent state of installing. I can't open it and I can't delete it (either by holding down then tapping the x or by synching with itunes). It shows as "pending" in my app store updates list.

I've googled it and there are a few vague suggestions for fixes, but none appear to work. Any idea? It's happened to me before with other apps, but they've always resolved themselves after a few days. This one has been over a week.

Spoiler:

I'm not the right guy to ask when it comes to mobile stuff. I still don't have a smartphone (I just find them incredibly clunky and unnecessarily gimmicky with limited actual usefulness), and only have a tablet that I use at home pretty much exclusively. So naturally no Tapatalk, because I have my desktop to post on forums.

So what phone do you currently use?
01-16-2016 , 06:22 AM
2p2 app > tapatalk

I use my phone to (shocker) make phonecalls and write short text messages, and this little thing is more than sufficient for those purposes.

Every time I have to actually type on a mobile device's touchscreen keyboard, I'm on the brink of just smashing it against a wall. Those things just aren't designed to get anything useful done on them. My tablet is a nice little media-consumption device for home use. That's where these things shine. Don't need to carry one with me at all times, though.

If you like tablets you should give smartphones a try again.
01-16-2016 , 06:39 AM
LO, it sounds to me that you aren't actually connected to the app store.

Tap the app once on the phone and see if it pauses or doesn't do anything.

On itunes remove it and make sure to 'delete' it from the itunes library if it doesn't already do that. Redownload it from the app store and it shouldn't come up pending then plug the phone in. Hopefully that should work.

Jesus SN, even my grans have iphones...
01-16-2016 , 06:42 AM
I held out for years with my Nokia, for the same reasons as SN. I finally gave in about 2 years ago and bought a second hand iphone 4 (off Kingweed actually), and I never looked back!
01-16-2016 , 06:50 AM
Also, those things are way too fragile. If I switched to a smartphone now, what would I open my beers with then?

01-16-2016 , 07:07 AM
Haha! That's pretty cool, actually.

Until you go to a house party and find your phone spends more time with others than in your own pocket
01-16-2016 , 07:41 AM
LO, have you updated to the latest iOS? This fixed it for me at one point.

Revenge of the Sith is fine. It's not great, and it's not horrible, standard 4/6 stars.

This might be controversial but Joey Barton def has a job as a pundit when he hangs up his boots. He actually talks sense and isn't afraid to have an opinion.

Ok come at me

also fair warning thread:

-bankered spurs
-have 3 spurs players in FPL with Kane as captain
-bet on spurs win
