Sanchez might be back for the Stoke game, but for Chelsea he is back for sure (reports suggest)

Mr.Wenger on his situation:
Quote:
We think he will be short for Wednesday, he has a chance to be available for Sunday [against Stoke]. He is always keen to play. If you listen to Alexis, he can always play - even when he is injured. We try to be cautious. With a muscular injury you never exactly how big the risk but he is very close. If you look at him training he is very close.
Also THOMAS ROSICKY is back to full training. Welcome back Mozart!

TP,

i had like 8m to spend and no alexis to spend it on

my strategy to have ddg rip off like 19 straight CS's and for arnautovic to scorepoint in 22 straight games while you keep having 1-2 defenders either injured or sent off in about 80% of your games.

Market's indicating no Ozil tonight. He might play but there's a lot of money for Pool.
01-13-2016 , 12:17 PM
Wtf game to watch tonight? Three (on paper) very nice ones. Think I'll go with City-Everton (likely to be a goalfest?) and Pool-Arse. Three is really too much so Spurs-Leic gonna have to get dropped.

market support for plop is most likely down to my having backed Arsenal. Fear not though, I'm on a winning streak!

Good strategy, I might copy it. Unfortunately there aren't enough games left for it to be viable.

You can buyout for $499 if you want.

Yeah biggest game of the season so far for Spurs tonight.

Win puts us in the title race, draw is ok but not great, and a defeat leaves us a point ahead of West Ham.
01-13-2016 , 12:56 PM
idk, if like 10% counts as being in the title race then yeah.. But spurs are obviously not as good as arse and city, plus fixture congestion and a thin-ish squad is going to start caching up soon.

the main advantage of Klopp's hair transplant is that they cant give him the Christoph Daum test. sniff sniff
01-13-2016 , 12:59 PM
maybe if a defeat puts you a point ahead of West Ham then a win doesn't put you in the title race?

So you acknowledge that things are done differently at Bayern.

Yet you keep making fun of us when we claim that things are done differently at Bayern.

Like when it was reported that Mario Götze could have gone to artificially, cash induced Moneysack club X, but chose the "Perfect model in place" club FC Bayern München instead, despite most probably earning a bit less than he could have at moneysack club?

It's an attitude like this, that makes me ridicule you. The mere thought that someone could actually believe that money is the sole deciding factor a player considers before joining a club is, frankly, baffling.

If I were a player, I would think thrice before joining a volatile club like City (and yes, money does actually play a big part in my thinking thrice. DUCY?). If then Bayern came along, who stand on their own feet, and stand better on them than any other club in the world, I wouldn't have to think anymore. It's not like they pay so little that I'd have to suffer from hunger. Especially not if I'm Mario Götze, the biggest talent in German football and one of the biggest in the world.

And yes, history and prestige do play a role, too. Who the **** are City? Now Bayern, that's close to four decades of European elite football. Glorious names like Beckenbauer, Müller, Maier, Hoeneß, Breitner, Rummenigge...; Titles upon titles. Yes, stuff like that means something to people, and it may be the deciding factor even if another club offers more cash.

Just ask Pep Guardiola.
Kevin De Bruyne agreed to join Bayern Munich before moving to Manchester City, his agent Patrick De Koster has revealed.

City fought off competition from across Europe last summer to bring the Belgium international, last season's Bundesliga Player of the Year, to the Etihad Stadium in a £54.5m deal from Wolfsburg - the second highest transfer fee paid by a British football club.

However, according to his agent, De Bruyne was on the brink of remaining in Germany, with only Bayern's unwillingness to match Wolfsburg's valuation for the 24-year-old preventing the move.

"Kevin's heart was beating for the Bundesliga, where he broke through at Bremen and became a star at Wolfsburg," De Koster told SportFootMagazine.

"I'm convinced he would have played for Bayern if they had been able to pay the asking price.

"We reached a personal agreement with Bayern after two meetings. The deal collapsed on the asking price.

"I think that Bayern wanted to pay 50m euros, but not a euro more."

De Bruyne has been a revelation since making the move to England, scoring 11 goals in 27 appearances for City and making eight assists in the Premier League - second only behind Mesut Ozil.

And De Koster believes his client's performances on the pitch show he is happy and has adapted to life at City.

"In the end City won the race and Kevin is super happy with his move," he added. "He adapted fast on and off the pitch."

Dem Bayern shirts not looking so shiny these days.

I fancy Liverpool tonight based on our good record agaisnt the top 4 2 wins 2 draws and only one goal conceded.

Plus Arsenal gonna Arsenal. We all know how it went the last time they came leading the league to Anfield.

Tough week for the arse, they'll snap call 4 points from pool and stoke away followed by a decent run of only having to play one good team until spuds in March.

edit: 1 win, 1 defeat acceptable - market has them getting around 3.2 points from these two games if I'm reading it properly.

Plop-Arse on tonight and there are two other games I'd almost rather watch. What a time to be a blitw fan.

I'm skeptical about arsenal today. If pool presses well we could be in trouble. Der model has things pretty even. 3 pts from @ pool @ stoke would be solid. Would be very happy with 4.

Everything points to city steamrolling everton today, but I really hope I'm wrong. Everton knicking a point would be huge. With no Coleman to bail out bad cb positioning I think city is gonna run rampant on their left with kolarov and probably Sterling.

Maybe, but then we are shorter for the PL than either the FA cup or EL, so that's obviously our priority - especially since 2nd, 3rd and 4th prize is a CL place.
