Exactly this, they had a get out clause in Moyes contract (apparently) for not reaching the champions league. He was sacked the day after it became impossible for them to make it. You would have to assume it is the same for LVG.

Seems as though the majority of mun fans have deluded themselves into believing everything is going to be rosy againt as soon a LVG gets canned. I'd think this optimism and sense of a fresh start/boom, next year, etc would translate into increased revenue which would more than make up for whatever it would cost to get rid of him.

League cup definitely needs to die. FA cup replays are good fundraising tools for lower league clubs.

-no more replays gives them better shot at advancing and you could give l1 and lower teams automatic home games

-replays are cool (but impractical) when unlimited, terrible when limited to two

Yeah, giving lower league teams automatic home games as been really good in Portugal (this only happens in Portugal Cup, not for the League Cup because we have a group stage).
When they are really small and their stadiums suck, some bigger teams even let them use their stadium for free so they can get a bigger attendance and more money.

There should be a universal winter break for international football qualifying aids - would probably make it more interesting.

solution is to lose half the international calendar imo, goodbye pointless friendlies that no1 watches & streamline the qualification phase for the cups. sorry to any liechtensteiners who read this but i really dont want or need to watch your postmen play football ever again

having games on over xmas while loliga etc take a break must generate so much extra revenue for the PL, makes me suspect that the status quo will remain
