Do think you're being unfair to Lallana. Not saying he's a worldbeater or anything.

mahrez legit goat, the way he pissed all over united despite getting no space or time (was even trippled at times)was glorious.
shame ref had no balls otherwise he would have gotten 4-5 utd players booked in the first half lol.

seriously, if he stays injury free and leiceister manage his minutes properly so he doesn't burn out they have a real top4 chance

We're getting into great positions on the flanks time and again but our wide-men are complete and utter **** and our full-backs sans shaw can't attack for ****. The only player who is capable of running at players is Martial and quite often he can get into some good positions off the dribble. We need more of this. None of Young, Memphis, Lingard or Rooney should be starting for top 8 clubs, which is really the strongest indictment you can level and the root cause of any problems we may have.

So sure, the current system is not great offensively for our current batch of players and squad make up. However, I do believe a more open style could kill us and I think we would almost certainly not have the faintest shout at the title trying to play at a higher tempo whereas I really do feel that, as is, all we need is a little more quality in attack to mount a serious challenge.

But I guess you can be anywhere on the spectrum as to how you feel about the trade-off between exciting football and results but people shouldn't kid themselves, at this point, for us, there is definitely a trade-off.

I'm quite clearly pro-LVG but I will say that I think it is very frustrating that he gives Rooney so much leeway. That is really my only criticism. I want to see more Herrera in general and more Mata in the 10.

Then all we need is to either have Memphis all of a sudden be not **** or a quality left-winger
Why is 2+2 censoring fat?

tl;dr

look ... you are playing Pulisball.

You will ship few goals and all of your attacking players will consistently look like ****.

Far too many side ways/square passes.

Not one pass in their box!!

Entire play in their box:-

All them from corners.

The players are 100% getting told not to pass it forward and keep hold of the ball.

Even in the last 15 seconds of the game when Memphis was running, played the pass to forward(!!) to Schweinsteiger and kept going - instead of Schweinsteiger just playing an easy pass forward into his stride and potential getting a chance of scoring a late winner!

HE TURNS AROUND AND PASSES IT BACK!

I'm not even kidding.

If you compare his chalkboards between playing for Germany and United it's totally different. Okay you could argue that, that is down to players making runs forward but i'm convinced he plays that forward thinking positive pass if he's in the national team.

Of much more interest is how Fanerio's declaration of having SOLVED FPL is gradually unravelling towards Neville Chamberlain's 1938 announcement of having a piece of paper that secured PEACE IN OUR TIME

also, let's just all take a minute to allow the following fact to sink in:

Tyson Fury is now Heavyweight Champion Of The World.

I do agree that the level of rigidness is at an extreme at this moment, the thing is LVG is a temporary manager, as long as we're competitive while we use the coming windows to get our squad back into the elite I don't think the level of criticism is warranted. He's laying groundwork for possession-based dominance, the missing raw ingredient is more quality in attack. It will also be very easy for someone to come in after LVG (hopefully Pep) and loosen up the chains a bit, but the team will be used to playing a ball-dominant style.

And to top it all off, we're 5 games vs bottom half teams away from the half-way point and we're in great shape in the league.

shrek is useless at top4/int level now, but I don't know how you can say that Martial, Memphis, Mata, ... are **** - they almost certainly aren't. why isn't Martial playing up top?

I don't think he's hurt. Maybe a bit tired so he's being rotated for this game. Coutinho has a slight hamstring strain so maybe will be on the bench but wouldn't be surprised if he's left out all together.

Hats off to Vardy but, as I said weeks ago, I really can't see him doing it again next season.

Yeah, can't score when you're passing sideways for ManU

Wouldn't mess with Coutinho if there's even the slightest doubt over his hamstring. Not sure why Firmino would need a rest. He didn't play much to start the season and seems like he's really starting to find some form

Man, hats off to Jamie Vardy. Something Wright, Lineker, Rush, Torres, Henry, Shearer, etc. never even got close to doing.

Also, good to see Rooney again justifying that he's the fifth highest paid footballer in the world.
