There are a lot of bad posters on that site but still a few good ones that I always look out for.

Only idiots watch football nowdays. With stats available like xG, you can find out THE TRUTH in a faction of the 90 mins it takes to watch the game, and your opinions won't be tainted by unreliable eye tests.

I've never posted there or read it regularly. Went once to check out what all the lolz were about and it delivered. I'm sure there's some good stuff for people who are regulars and itk but wasn't something I felt the need to check or participate in on a regular basis

Take home: Giroud is ****.
Spurs were on the front foot but really didn't generate a lot of dangerous chances or have good penetrative passing aside from their goal and I think one other chance (which was from a badish angle). After arsenal scored their goal they create a ton of really good quality chances in dangerous areas. Game could have easily been 2-0 spurs as it could have been 2-1 arsenal. xG tends to be bad at capturing the standard deviation of scorelines.

Really great article related to this : https://medium.com/@dannypage/expect...y-1dfd9b52c7d0

i reckon the chelsea faithful dragging themselves to the bilge on a thursday when they'd rather be ANYWHERE else will be most amusing. as will 9500 mile round trips to krasnoyarsk.

This has been a common occurrence this season (and probably since the Redknapp era), that although we are executing a really good press, we are not creating as good a chances as we should be when turning the ball over in the oppositions half. Kane and Lamela in particular have been guilty of some poor decision making in goalscoring situations (passing when shooting is the better option, and vice versa).

who's playing the 10 while payet is out? Lanzini? Zárate?

I've criticized the ref quite a lot on Saturday, but re-watching it doesn't do them any favors.

What really pissed me off was that there were several tackles before that where he should have been booking people and didn't. If he had, that may not have happened. I would imagine that there will be some retribution in the return fixture.

Probably Lanzini. I really don't rate Zarate.

it was a replica of the challenge on cleverly at white hart line which i think we didn't even get a free kick

calling for McCarthy to get a straight red for that is lol

Nope, he's excellent. He deliberately missed all those big chances as he didn't want to taint Arsenals stats by scoring from crosses/set pieces.

Where have I called for a straight red?

Everton set out to kick Payet out of the game, which is fine. At least two clear yellows were missed before that tackle went in. If the referee had dealt with those properly, that horrible **** may not have done that.
