Mental fatigue has been mentioned before - seems a stretch. Win league early, Summer off - mental state should be fine. Unless TSO doing weird things at training. Still think it's likely physical and player form - subpar physical will impact tactical strategy. The former which tso is responsible for. Yes, there's something weird with Ivanovic but he can't be responsible for everything. But a start would be to drop him for a bit.

maybe this is the natural concequence of relying on old blokes for too long. i know diego costas passport says 27 but lets face facts hes at least 35, just look at his face, and cesc was playing 70 games/season when he was 16 in wenger's meat grinder so he's a false age too ala rooney, torres etc

Also Eva stuff seems irrelevant to team performance. Obviously that issue handled terribly and tso massively wrong. But can't imagine an employee dismissal in most situations leads to such a fall off the cliff whether it's football or other. All problems here football related.

fwiw michael edwards is probably a fine upstanding statistical nerdlinger, its the writer thats the chump cos he thinks to himself 'hm what does football analytics entail, oh i know they probably look up scorepoaint stats and make xfer decisions based on them'

He just signed a contract extension over the summer I believe. I want to say that I read it's a 5 year contract.
