We dominated most of the game in terms of possession/territory and did some good things but without looking very likely to score. Some good chemistry up front between Nuhiu and Forestieri despite this being their first match together. Burnley defended well but faltered every time they tried to play it from the back. That said, when they did get forward, they possessed more of a clinical edge as the 3-1 scoreline suggests.

The result felt harsh as at 1-1 we looked the more likely team to go on and win. I have mixed feelings on the performance. I saw us play Boro at home the other week where we were pretty terrible for the most part - this performance was so much better and more cohesive (weird with 3 debuts). Crucially, we did repeat one aspect of the performance, in conceding 2 late goals after our best spell in the match. Can't help but be a little worried.

It's a shame they didn't do the same to Owen really.

Didn't see the game myself, but have heard from a few who went, and they said much the same thing, although I think Wednesday only managed a couple of shots in whole game.

From the highlights, Nuhiu is a big unit and his goal was a good header, but it was scored when Keane was off the pitch. Burnley's three goals were all well taken and Gray looked impressive (as he should for that sort of money).

It's encouraging that we're winning games without playing well and with the likes of Barton, Marney and Lowton to come into the squad, I'm confident we can challenge for promotion again.

Header from Bannan which should have hit the target and a smart turn and shot from the edge of the area by Forestieri stand out from memory too. It wasn't chance after chance but not like we created nothing either.

Yes Gray looked a live wire and to be honest, we badly need a player like that. We've got plenty of creative types capable of doing the intricate stuff but are way short in the pure striker department. All the evidence suggests the club have been expending a lot of effort trying to acquire a first rate Championship striker but just haven't landed. We'll put that right before long.
