Tactically and technically, Firmino has been fine in a defensive setup. Mostly disappointed because I was expecting Suarez-level WIM and determination.
Seems like he won't be able to transcend ****ty tactics the way Luis did.

Why he never tried anything different when it was obvious within the first 5 minutes we were in major trouble I can't explain.

His post match interview was ******ed to! “We defended well, the only problems we had were caused by our own mistakes"... How can you be defending well while making mistakes that cause your team problems? Not even like it was just one or two. Every time we had a goal kick and the ball went out of play so they cut to shows a replay, by the time the replay was over it cut back to Man U players on the ball attacking.
much as I enjoy the sweet sweet tears of Liverpool fans, I can't help but wonder how these three posters might have reacted had Benteke's scissor kick been the only goal of the game.

I think you're right. Comments are ridiculously results-oriented.

Actually didn't think we played all that woeful today. Granted it wasn't great or even good either, but definitely not a 3-1 type of match for me.

(opened up very shaky, but got a better grip on things as the match went on)

lol we have been absolutely horrid in every game all season bar the first half at the emirates

get a grip

idk ... if ManU are supposedly playing terribly every game, yet are 2nd in the league and crushing almost every game it's going to be a pretty depressing season.

The great thing about pulisball is that in the 'average' pulisball world (warning: past performance is no predictor of future profits) you get inurred to the aesthetics ... but every week the opposition's fans, who haven't been innoculated, get to suffer an exaggeration of mundanity.

You are right it wasn't a 3-1 type of match. It was an 8-1 type of game, had Man U not been so wasteful of the chances gifted to them by Liverpool players then it could have been 4-0 by half time.

77% pass accuracy, where it is usually in the 90's. Which is a huge amount of passes going astray.

Did you see the game? If Man U played a competent striker or even Rooney they'd have cleaned up.

But the key question is: are Liverpool still title contenders?

More impressive in that half than the second tho...

Wow, I don't believe it! - Adebayor is now a free agent! A lot of clubs gonna be happy with that.
09-13-2015 , 04:58 AM
Yeah, what do you think the payoff was? Apparently he was looking for £5m
09-13-2015 , 05:03 AM
Odds on next club?

Wenger should just sign him for 3rd striker option to reach maximum tilt among fans (would be pretty hilarious)
09-13-2015 , 05:09 AM
Pretty sure he won't be able to sign for anyone until the next window opens in January as he wasn't a free agent when the last one closed.
09-13-2015 , 05:22 AM
Where is that rule? He's a free agent with no contract with any club. I'd imagine he is free to sign with anyone right now.
09-13-2015 , 05:33 AM
We should sign him on a month to month basis, he'd beast every game.
09-13-2015 , 05:37 AM
Well yeah, he can sign for anyone, but he won't be able to play for them.

He certainly won't be able to play for another PL club, as they have all submitted their 25 man squads.
09-13-2015 , 06:07 AM
Ah yeah that would make sense, I assume every PL club named 25 players

David Dunne is the new Oldham manager, def wouldn't have had him down as management material

Would have different.
But would have been wrong. Result oriented thinking blah blah...
