JD changes his opinion on Utd players quicker than a weathercock changes directions in a tornado... 2 bad games and he will be an utter bellend or something

I really don't change my opinion on players that often, Evans is class but the injuries did for him, if he stays fit WBA have one of the best CBs in the league and he still has time to get a transfer back to a top 4 club.

I was trying to think of a single Spurs player that would get into the United side...I guess maybe Kane over Rooney? Can't think of anybody else.

well kyle Walker has a ManU goal to his name already...maybe him

So the players left from Ferguson's final season which was only 2 full seasons and 4 games ago:

Rooney
Carrick
Smalling
Jones
De Gea
Young
Valencia
Johnstone

Johnstone doesn't really count as the 4th keeper under Fergie (and now 3rd keeper).
De Gea obviously doesn't count either.
Valencia and Young are squad options.
Carrick coming toward the end.
Jones - jury's out about what his role will be.

That leaves Rooney and Smalling, with only the latter looking like a player that will still be a first teamer next season.

I would go as far to say that the overhaul LVG is undertaking is the largest ever undergone to a Champion's League position (or thereabouts) side in Prem history.

Can anyone think of another club in the PL that has seen this turnover of playing staff in 2 seasons?

From winning champions league in 2012 to beginning of last season (2014/15).

cech
ivanovic
cahill
terry
ramires
mikel (obv)
drogba (who left and came back)

We're better at buying the league.
Expect mikel to be last man standing. Amazingly this is his 10th season.

That's still 4 first teamers Zaids....we have 2

Always thought Mikel must have compromising Abromovich photos

When Real Madrid makes your club and manager look like classless pieces of ****, your club and manager are doing something wrong.

fergie always had a bunch of these players, you wouldn't want him in your team but he makes 25 appearances every year, stands in the right place on the pitch and doesnt cost you many games when the real bloke you have playing his position is injured or knackered.

If you're talking about us I don't know how you come to that conclusion, we did our part.

SSN just referred to Martial as "potentially the next Thierry Henry"

hyperbole is fun!

so is Lindegaard the starting keeper now tchaz?
09-01-2015 , 03:55 PM
Wouldn't think so

does yedlin have a chance of breaking into the line up at sunderland?

think so. don't see sunderland having a quality RB that will for sure keep yedlin out of the team. their defense has been a hot mess and i'm sure dick will want to try to experience in order to find a stable back 4 that he can rely on because the one he's playing right now with kaboul and coates has no chance of keeping a clean sheet

Darren Gibson sounds like he has been a lucky boy not to be doing a prison stretch after that drink driving charge.
09-02-2015 , 03:32 AM
Sunderland do actually have at least 1 quality RB in Adam Matthews, no idea if Dick fancies him or not tho.

looks like paul 'mers' merson may have fell off the wagon

I like the signing of Fabian Delph, but I think Raheem Sterling and Kevin De Bruyne are pathetically over-priced. They have spent £54.5m on De Bruyne - and he's a player they don't really need. That position wasn't on their hit-list and now someone like Samir Nasri isn't going to get a game, which is phenomenal for me. They have bought well, but I am going to give them a B- for the money they have had to pay.
He gave both United and City a B-

he was in the SSN studio the other day as part of their expert panel discussing the subject of moneyball. I couldn't believe what I was seeing.

Is there a possibility he knows he is a joke and plays on it? like 0.00001% or not even that?

seems he's very consistent and in for the long haul if he is (guess many will have seen this before, but I hadn't)

If we had managed to sign Marshall from Cardiff it may have been an eventual 3-way fight for #1, but I think Lindegaard is back up for Myhill - singed because Foster is still out (estimated until November)

In the link posted, Merson gave every club an 'A' or 'B' summer transfer rating. There is a high possibility that he doesn't know the next letter in the alphabet.

Paul Merson = nut low.
