English Football 2015-16 - Leicester City won the league English Football 2015-16 - Leicester City won the league

Solid point. I can't believe how good Joe Gomez is. Having said that, I don't know why Arsenal didn't put Sanchez over there and overload our left and 18 year old Joe Gomez and Lovren instead of attacking England international Clyne and Skrtel.

Not sure if it was more Arsenal or BR changing the approach but bus parking against Arsenal is never a good idea. They look like a basketball team when they can get set and a team is parked. Lucky not to concede in the second half, but also unlucky not to score in the first. Cech was unreal. Coutinho's shot especially was destined for the top corner. And Benteke really should have buried his chance.

Firmino looked slow. Hoping it's just down to not being match fit. Work rate isn't nearly the level that will be required. Can doesn't really do it for me. I still don't know what he is and what his best position is. Jimmy Milner is full class. Does so so much for our entire team. Lucas was solid. Smart to get him off after deep bus parking as he was due to concede a classic Lucas fk/pk (and almost did). Ibe, who I'm very high on, was awful when he came on. Lost possession way too easily. Skrtel was excellent. Clyne solid. Lovren ok. Mignolet looked like a nervous nelly flapping in the box and his distribution was below average but he actually made a couple really good saves

Solid team performance. We're def dropping points to West Ham though.

Lol Chambers
Looking at that and adjusting for the camera angle it seems as though Skrtel's ass is on the edge of the box, but Ramsey's head is across it. Super close, one of those plays where it was a good goal if he was called on and a good offside call since he called it that way.

Let's slow down on the Gabriel hype train. In the few matches he's played so far he's looked ok to meh and today even oafk would've looked good besides Chambers. Also 0 caps for the 24 year old in a squad that regularly features sideshow bob.

Maybe he'll make it, maybe not (and I'm leaning towards the latter) but so far he hasn't really shown any indication of being a good buy.

"Shirt looks offside" is fantastic though. And I mean Rodgers will always get this due to ENVELOPES

So frustrating football does not take any steps to use better equipment.
How dafuq the linesman supposed to call that live....

I still have to thank Imothep that he wasn't sent off last weekend vs CP (which he absolutely should have been)
The Coq bloq had a great game.

Cech was great but honestly I think single most important player for Arse was Coq

+1 to the thought that Alexis should have played on the right. I thought the same thing.

To the surprise of no Liverpool fan, we have improved massively defensively without the liabilities Gerrard and Johnson. Even Lovren looks halfway competent with Gomez covering for him.

It's pretty shocking they didn't even try it. Every second half attack against the bus came down our right. Made no sense

The real surprise to me was that contrary to gunners, Liverpool really played like a team. No one really shined and no one dropped the ball. Consistent form all across the team, and the load was spread widely across attack and midfield. It's actually pretty impressive for a team who used to rely on one player for a long time.

His shoulder is much further over the line than Skrtels ass is, you are able to score with your shoulder. Therefore he is offside.

I don't get why it's even being debated.

The other thing I don't get is this whole idea of the “attacking team should get the benifit of the doubt”. To me the benifit of doubt should go to the defending team if anybody is getting it. Having a goal that should stand getting disallowed during a game has much less significance than allowing a goal to stand when it shouldn't.

Both situations obviously suck for the affected team but at least if you get a goal disallowed there's plenty of chance to rectify it and score again if they are good enough. But teams only get 1 clean sheet a game and if they lose it to a wrong decision then no matter how good they defend after that they can't wipe the goal off the scoreboard.

5dimes has City as -125 to win the league
anyone feel like taking this bet (with me paying the juice) instead of me depositing there to do it?

Every time I've seen Gabriel I've not been totally convinced but thought 'the raw ability is there, for a 19 year old he's going to be special', and then I read Babaletaxi's post that he is 24 (25 in 2 months!!). Mindblown.

He's 14 months older than Phil Jones.
5 years older than the God that is Luke Shaw.
1 year younger than the best CB in the league so far Chris Smalling.
6 months younger than Daley Blind.
1 year younger than Darmian.

This isn't McNair or Blackett barely out of the womb and playing in the Prem. This guy should be the real deal. The fact that he isn't now is worrying.

Firmino benteke Coutinho shows promise for games like this where we press and break quickly. I still have my doubts about unlocking bottom 10 teams at Anfield tho. Can see us having a few 0-0s there.

Overall tho hard not to be happy with that performance against a top 3 team away. Milner was fantastic, Lucas again showing why it would be madness to sell him.

Brent is raising the ante from the management speak and psychotwaddle that Pardew brought to West Ham.
