First XI is settled although there is room for improvement in certain areas - long term will be sorting out post Terry and full back situations. While considered our strength it's actually the area where things will have to change. I could see the rest of the side being settled for 2-3 years. While excellent players, there's still 3-4 better XI's in Europe at the moment. So while that XI can contend in theory, over maximum 51 game season (PL and CL) - it would be pretty hard to challenge for both playing pretty much the same team Sat-Wed. Of course, happy some youth players take up the squad places but that is an unknown in terms of impact and realistically, it will be very minor impact. Other squad players are unconvincing as noted in this thread.
