I cant really say much tbh. Maybe TMSW18 or therightdeal has more knowledge but...

Weve lost benteke which is always going to be a major blow but its allowed us to create a better squad. The snake *delph* has also gone but im not too bothered about that. He was amazing at taking two people on but he always became aids when he got into the final third. Weve signed 3 promising up'n'coming players from the french league.

Geuye (CM) already looks a better player than delph from pre season games, he can do everything, range of passing, very good at tackling, looks like he can read the game and able to shoot.

Amavi (LB) also looks to be a star in the making, 21 y/o LB. *apparently* highly rated in europe/france. very quick and can pass/cross. Looks the only competent defender we have atm

Veretout (CM) also supposed to be a very good future player but i havent seen anything of him so i dont know.

I think weve made 9 signings this summer (sinclair(RW/LW), ayew(ST/RW), crespo(LB/RB/CB), richards (CB/RB), bunn (GK), Gestede (ST)) so it really is going to be an unknown squad/season for us all. Our biggest problem is defence. We just cant defend at all. Even in pre season we just letting in easy goals. Richards does not look like a CB at all, so rash, out of position so often and im very worried if he becomes our #1 CB which i guess he will be as hes been made captain.

I personally think 12-15th as we cant defend. If we get a decent CB we could push for top 10 but we just arnt being linked to any. This season really could go anywhere, whole new first 11, most of them will be young but have pretty big potential so we could surprise people, we could also get relegated (dont think we will though). Everyone is in "who the **** knows whats going to happen" mindset

I think we still might sign some pretty awesome players by end of the window, our scouting team has been so so good this window. very impressive by sherwood and co. I hope we sign Adama Traore from barca because he looks so so good

We got ray.wilkins which i thought would be able to sort the defence out, maybe not though. But its the first season in awhile that im very very excited for so i guess thats good

Time for Jack Grealish to shine this season aswell. best passing accuracy out of everybody last season (smallliisshhhh sample size though). If he can be slightly more direct/threatening at times, one of the big boys will be in for in a couple of years. Personally think he will be a bigger star than that ibe plop dickhead (just joking with the abuse)

pretty sure most games are going to be 3/4goals+ in them with sherGOAT so should be fun

Found browsing Eurosport : "10 reasons why Liverpool can win the Premier League"

Don't think i have the courage to read the article.

Reason #8 : "Selling your best player can galvanize a 1st XI - such as when Arsenal sold Henry in 2007"

Spoiler:
or such as when Plop themselves sold Suarez in 2014

Signings do seem very sensible and these are emerging highly rated players from France. Not seen enough to predict their success but on surface it looks very good.

Hopefully Okore can get healthy in the back so you have a quick centreback.

Up front it also looks sensible with two very different options in Jordan Ayew and Gestede. The big question is if they really have the level to score goals in the Premier League. The team should create and help more than in a long time though.

Also, one expert here who I respect a lot had very high hopes for Gestede and his very physical style.

Ayew is kind of new as a striker and a bit of a gamble but hopefully he can at the very least better Agbonlahor with similar pace but a bit more overall striker-skill. We'll see if he has the needed aggression.

yeh if we arnt signing a new CB...getting clark and okore partnership back ASAP is a must.

West Ham United
Prediction: 13th

The manager is something of an unknown quantity and after a promising start to the transfer window we're now into full Gold/Sullivan mode, with hail Mary loans already being discussed. I expect us to make one or two more additions to the squad, plus Alex Song, before the window closes. We currently have one fit striker (plus Maiga, but he's terrible) - Valencia is scheduled to be out for three months and lolCarroll. We're short on wide players and Payet needs to be good, or else.

We are sending the kids out to our UEFA Cup game tomorrow, which makes me wonder why we bothered entering, and the board are obviously very keen for us not to get relegated before we move into the athletics stadium.

In terms of yoof the one to get excited about appears to be Reece Oxford, a central defender that has also looked comfortable at right back and in midfield against some scrubs. Reece Burke played a couple of times towards the end of the season and looked defensively sound but poor on the ball. Martin Samuelsen, signed this summer after being released by Manchester City, has received positive reviews for his performances so far.

Initial optimism has faded, and some people are clutching at the straw that is Mauro Zárate. If you can't be arsed reading the article, this is the best bit:

Quote:
The new coach, Davide Ballardini was not as patient with Zárate as his predecessor Delio Rossi, and publicly criticised his player for his selfishness with the ball, a trait has seen Zárate chastised by coaches since his days as a youth player. One particularly notorious incident whilst still at Velez, saw Zárate come off the bench, having been left out for too often opting to go alone rather than pass. Zárate beat numerous players, rounded the keeper, but refused to score, betraying a petulance and immaturity that would rear its head at Lazio.

Swans hopefully have a decent season, think we finish 10th or there abouts, id of liked a ST to of joined with more prestige than eder who seems worse than oliviera that we had on loan last season... but ayew is a quality signing and keeping sigurdsson and monk were the main tasks this summer. feeling a bad result on weekend but the swans do turn up for big games so who knows

Didn't know they had signed Eder. I think he has the potential to do better than Gomis. Do more things for the team at least. Nelson Oliveira had more scoring potential though which might not sound too great. I don't think I caught any of his games for Swansea or just don't remember.

Older Ayew the attacking wing I really think got worse and worse but if he is more of an attacking number 8 bit more all-round midfielder central of the pitch now then that's interesting.

Have been following this thread for a while but never felt the urge to post. However, I must say that Eder is plain terrible.
I do like the swans so I hope he proves me wrong.

Hey actually I was just wondering can I bet for Arsenal against some team, so I'll do that bet. If I understood correctly. I can bet even the whole 350 cos I just need some kind of excitement aside from Fantasy. I'll PM to you so maybe we can work it out.

I guess I can do less if you don't trust me for the whole 350 dollars. On Stars I could do the transfer if I lose. I can show you my Stars screenname via PM if needed.

I'm a semi regular on this forum. I have only once made a bet here. I do a lot of bets with a high stakes friend who posts on 2+2. Maybe he can "vouch" for me, if that's needed and I know what vouching means.

I'm in so many classic leagues through various supporters clubs, and I'm terrible. I'd donate for the sweat of an h2h but will probably sit out the classic. Think its cool you're running a smaller stakes one
