Where did Rodgers say this? It's the 2nd time I have read somebody say the same thing (might have been you repeating yourself I can't remember). But I have not ever heard him say he prefers Sakho and it doesn't sound like something a manager would say especially not Rodgers. I would think if he was asked who will be his first choice pairing he'd ramble on about how all his centre backs are really important members of the group and all the other stuff he constantly says. Doubt he'd say "well Skrtel is the main one and I prefer Sakho to pair up with him".

All pre-season he has partnered Skrtel and Lovren together so I do believe that is who he will at least start with against Stoke.



Great goal from Benteke, really hope everybody who said Liverpool will need to completely change their style and just pump crosses into the box for him to head were watching. He is a brilliant striker and capable of scoring all kinds of goals. I do believe if he stays fit he can score 30 goals in this Liverpool team.

so pool have like 5 AMs but no senior winger?

Ibe and Clyne have played together for the majority of pre season and It's worked ok, I don't see it changing now.

It's no secret that Brendan thinks Ibe is going to be a superstar so I think he'll just put his faith in him to begin with.

Lucas option seems viable as well.
