Please enlighten me biased-gunners-fans, who's your hottest players that City would really have.
How do they match the three mentioned above going the other way.

*of course the point is still about the whole roster and not starting lineup, but go ahead.

** playing well against the top 5 teams is fine, but to win the league you need you 4th CB to not **** up at 94th minute vs. garbage teams.

How about Cech being >>>> Joe Hart?
Koscielny seems like a no brainer.
How could they not put Alexis to much use?

Zolayn, sick troll bro. City won't win the league because they have zero good fb since zabaletta started to suck and maybe half a good cb in kompany since he's been avg for 18 months

We don't need an elite forward to win the league, but then we would need to keep the core healthy like Chelsea did last year and win the close games vs the top 4. Another elite player increases your margins but would help us more in Europe than pl IMO.
They are figures from 2013/14, the only figures available at the moment. Released in January this year.

Figures for 2014/15 haven't been realised for everyone yet but have been estimated to put Arsenal up to 180ish which would still leave them behind Chelsea.

If we're looking at right here right now you can tell me aguero/silva/yaya and maybe zabaletta would be players arsenal would take. For the future probably can rule out yaya/zaba. Other than that you'd have a tough time making a case for anyone else on city's team that arsenal would want to truly improve their team. Perhaps one of the fern dudes as backup to coq. Hell I'd argue some of our backups city could use in their squad.

Arsenal is in a super good position with squad depth, squad age, and talented starters. We've got potential youth coming through at the positions we would like to upgrade so it isn't a massive issue, but to solidify for the right now a striker and a versatile DM capable player would be the main needs.

Our health record pretty clearly improved last year with players coming back in the actual time frames they were expected to and sometimes sooner. Also towards the end of the year we had and kept everyone healthy. Knock on wood, but I think this will hopefully be the first year we don't have absurd amounts of injuries all year.

Chelsea may not pay the highest wages but they're probably making up for it in some way by selling favours to high-ranking agents and some convoluted, untraceable investments in 'interested parties'. I mean, the deal for David Luiz alone should have prompted a UEFA audit.

3 players are enough IMO to make a significant difference, assuming the other players are somewhat in the same strength.

You realize the second edit is the exact reason city lost a ton of games last year, right?

Don't think current yaya really improves arsenal that much

Yeah, totally agreed. but to win the english league you need it all and then some. Depth in squad is very important for the title race.

Mr Z taking unnecessary heat. Yea Arsenal have got closer but theyre still behind city and the market agrees.

People seem to have easily forgotten this city side won the league scoring over 100 goals only a year ago and has been consistently in the top 2 for years now. Thier supposed downfall has been greatly exaggerated and they have now landed the best young prospect in Europe.

Saying our squad is "way worse than city" and that city wouldn't want any of our players is not really the same as saying City have slightly more title equity than us.

Thought Ibe still plays for Pool?
07-26-2015 , 02:27 PM
Sterling has such a low floor value...
Ibe on other hand seems like the nuts.
07-26-2015 , 02:29 PM
Pool decided playing with zero strikers is a no go after this year (suarez gone and sturridge out all season.
So they finally they bought strikers and AM.

I recall Liverpool signing a couple of strikers a year ago

2014:
Lambert is a clear bench warmer (as he was), Origi was sent to france on loan and Mario was a last resort when nothing came up.
The only AM signed was Markovic.
2015:
Benteke in, Ings in, Origi stays.
Firmino in (he's gonna be the ****) and finally Milner, although he may be stretched backwards depending on Lucas.

yeah, I was just taking the opportunity to lol once more at the signings of Lambert and Baloteli
