My local youth team played vs birkara in a youth tournament nearly 20 years ago and we drew 0-0...

Lost 11-0 to sliema wanderers tho, Michael mifsud possibly the best player I've ever faced

Mine was Kevin Gallen, which shows my age. I think he broke his leg when he was fairly young and it basically destroyed his career. He played for Belmont, that had an absolutely amazing side, including a guy called Paul Hughes (who scored an amazing goal on his debut for Chelsea) and Stan Bowder (who was in the Chelsea youth side but had habits that weren't appropriate for a professional footballer).

I was **** though.

Alan Judge the best i've ever played against, playing a couple years above his age level and tearing it up - still baffles me that he hasn't gotten into the Ireland side tbh.

Maybe if he was from stoke-on-trent with a potentially irish grandparent he'd have 30 caps by now.

i was pretty decent as a youth, but no clubs came sniffing our league apart from Portsmouth but that was mainly through school football, and as soon as i discovered Alcohol it was game over..

nowadays Brightons new training ground is in village and theres quite a lot of local lads getting trials etc

i also once played a sunday league game, and the other team had a bloke who legit was at least 70, he apparently played for spurs and was nicknamed chipper, never found out his real name but he werent bad despite having no physical presence left.

QPR used to trial everyone from where I lived.

I know a guy that was a non-league player, he played in some game for his company against a side with John Wark in it. As he was the best player in the side he said he would go up front and fancied using his pace to roast Wark. Sadly for him he said that Wark schooled him for 90 minutes.

meanwhile, at the never ending trainwreck that is sheffield wednesday, they've just announced a perfectly easy to understand and reasonably priced ticket structure:

i wonder if we'd have got promoted whether they'd have a special category A** to charge even more for massive games

Christ don't show that to Brady, she'll think it is a great idea.

A bit name droppy but best player I played against as in what they've achieved since was Zlatan. Best player I played against at the time was easily Joe Cole.

I played rugby with Bobby Goulding a few times as a kid. Still have nightmares about it tbh.

I once saw Shaun Edwards at the Hacienda with the midget bird with massive hair from M-People. That is as much as I know about Rugby League, apart from that 'roided up freaks from the north like it.

Hoopie,

I thought Gallen played for C81? He was so hyped up when he was a kid and rightly so because his goal scoring record was amazing. Did you play against Jason Rafferty? He played for England schoolboys iirc was picked ahead of Gallen.

I played for Wadham and had a lot of good matches vs Belmont/Jubilee Youth, Westward Boys and of course Sinrab.

--------
Best player I played with/against was also Joe Cole. Notable mention to Lampard, Parker, A Cole and the world class Marlon Harewood...

Dfs script for what? I actually do not do any scripting currently. I would like to learn as its a huge edge.

Scripts can do some of the following to save time:

Generate lineups and enter them.
Scrape the web for stats.
Edit lineups.

I don't know who C81 are/were. Gallen played for that Belmont side for a few years, this was when I was probably aged 12-14. I think he was at QPR by the time he was 16/17. That Belmont side dominated our region completely, to the point where it was an embarrassment.

I don't recall Jason Rafferty at all. I used to play with a guy called Graeme Power, who I really didn't think was all that (half of the side he played for were better than him) but had a very hard shot. A few years later I went to an England schoolboys game and he was playing for them. It appears that Power played for Exeter.

Played against most of the players in the Bundesliga.

Kept Neuer on the bench so must have done ok.

C81 is/was a football club called Club 81.

I can't remember exactly but Jubilee Youth merged into Belmont or it was the other way around. Did you play against or heard of Wadham?

Robbie Savage is my dad

Played against some good college players here but no pros or anything like that. Good friend of mine played against Josh Gatt who currently plays for Molde FK
