I'll take City and United for $50 each over Arsenal. Getting knocked out in the same round is a wash obv...

Ok booked... Is there a betting thread up yet?

Here's the league table with Handicap adjustments, for PBAL and myself to track our bet and for anyone else who either wants to follow or use the numbers themselves.

No idea. But it has been noted in my spreadsheet and when one pops up will post in there.

I'm still interested in taking TP's side in a season-long FPL bet, I'd put up $200 I think.

BETTING THREAD IS UP

I'll take Juve for 100. Can I have some Pogba/Vidal to stay clause ?
07-03-2015 , 09:30 AM
I'll take $150 on TP.
07-03-2015 , 09:42 AM

So posted in the betting thread but will post here too since the betting juices are starting to flow. I'd like the following bets if there are any takers as per the o/u's deuce posted:

Unders
Chelsea u82.5
United u77.5
Leicester u40.5

may want some of Southampton u54.5 as well

Over
Stoke o47.5
Liverpool o64.5
Everton o53.5
Arsenal o76.5

Liverpool > United @3.65:1.307
Arsenal > United (are those odds right deuce as 1.862:1.99 when United have a higher o/u # than Arsenal?)

And some ridiculous prop bets as per SkyBet that I can't imagine anyone wanting. I'd like the following:

Peter Cech o13.5 clean sheets 4/6

I would like to lay the following:

Danny Ings to score on Premier League debut 6/4
Memphis Depay to score on Premier League debut 7/4
Memphis Depay to score against Liverpool during the 15/16 Premier League season 8/13

You mathematicians can tell me what those odds come out to when you lay it. The LFC_USA free money bank is open. I realize it's incredibly stupid to take bets now. Maybe I'll wait on United bets as they're sure to boom and the odds go up once a Ramos Schneiderlein come in

Also I'm a small roller so like $25 per bet for a sweat works

Yeah those odds are correct per pinny, thought it was weird too, but I'm sure the betting experts can explain why that is.

Re: United bets, I wouldn't wait, now is the time to strike I think. 77.5 factors in our anticipated massive summer spend, that we spend well and that we keep AdM. I wouldn't count on any of that.

General reasons why Utd may be quoted a higher points expectancy than Arse but be a dog against them in a match bet:
- One or both markets are not fully liquid so there's an edge somewhere
- Bookie is actively looking to lay united vs arsenal to balance liabilities
- Utd may be assumed to have a wider deviation range against their points expectation, so for example they might have a ceiling of 85* and a worst case scenario of 60* whereas Arse are always getting between 70-80* so Arse might reasonably be expected to finish above them more often despite having a lower overall points expectation.
- Bookie knows there are some mug punters out there who will bet Utd even with a high pts line, or back Arse to finish above them despite bad odds.

*numbers pulled from my backside for example purposes

I'd lay that as well, given that his PL debut was against Chelsea last August and he didn't score.
