long live shergoat, Bentaleb is solid. Mason makes good off-the-ball runs but he's never going to have the technique or presence or end product to justify bombing forward all the time. The way to use Mason is like today, as a fresh-legged spaz who starts three counters, but if Mason never played another minute I'd be cool with that. Bentaleb otoh has survived his trial by fire, he's still 20, and if the game slows down for him a little more on the attack then he's gonna be a solid asset for sure.

bentaleb is a very different type of player from sandro. probably a lot more widely useful one, since a top team can ill afford a true DM that doesn't add much else.

Brendan should have done a Bielsa instead. At the beggining of the season Bielsa said he didnt like the players he had and that the comittee didnt give him what he wanted.
Marseille will probably miss out on the CL spot as well but there is a big difference. Bielsa said right away he didnt endorsed the transfers.

We were knocked out by Basel, Besiktas and Aston Villa from the cups. Unfortunaly I see a pattern. Our biggest acomplishments in cups this year are basically beating Ludogorets and Crystal Palace away. Its an embarrasment.

The run we went against Spurs, Saints and City had a lot of fortune involved. We didnt deserve to beat Southampton we just runned really well and after they faded for the last 30 minutes a narrative of "knowing how to win tough" was made with no basis at all.

I would give Brendan X amount of money and he can spend it however he likes and he has to deliver a CL spot or he is gone. The way the club is run now just leads to nobody being accountable. Its a joke really.
