Mel has world class hair, and as he ages looks like a character in "Team America World Police" Those two things alone should get him a pass....
You're right about Hackenberg, tho

Yeah, I actually enjoy the whole Mel Kiper thing. It is all ridiculous, but rather enjoyable with the hair, and his excitement, etc.. An example of things that are wrong, and this is not sports related, but gives you an idea of a bad idea or understanding that gets repeated over and over again. There is a big trend in calling anybody who dresses up as a black person for any reason, as "racist Blackface". But that isn't the case. Traditional Blackface is an exaggeration of facial features, with the point being to mock and belittle black people.
I even saw a few years ago where people were trashing Billy Crystal because years earlier he used to do Sammy Davis Jr impressions at the Oscars. This is the type of stuff I am looking for. The Billy Crystal example is so absurd, as are the vast majority of cases that the media, or social media, labels Blackface.
