You know, now that I think about it, it was probably Bizzaro Martz that came up with that brilliant offensive sequence.

You can debate lots of stuff back and forth about tonight, but the timeout call by SF at 2:17 in the 4th quarter is ridiculous. Wasted 23 seconds.

Yeah, Singletary in his first couple of games as a head coach, turns to Martz the former head coach since he has experience in that capacity. The clock management at the end of that game has Martz's fingerprints all over it, great offensive mind in St Louis, but I don't think there is any coach I'd want less than him at the end of a close game.

In all fairness to Singletary & Martz, Joe Gibbs ****ed up a two-minute drill (or at least had his noob QB poorly prepared) last year that, when you consider: HOF coach, three rings w/three different QBs, and now he has a rookie QB and plenty of time & TOs, was much worse than this.

Somebody needs to start a business that designs tests with thirty to forty "real-time" scenarios that coaches, GMs, big-ticket FAs, top-three draft picks, etc for each sport need to have as automatic knowledge under stress, for potential hires/signees/draftees. Get Bill James, Nate Silver, FBOutsiders, 82games, etc on it. Could make a fortune. Just need some desperate whale like Jerry Jones or Hank Love Hewittbrenner to throw ya a mil seed money and you'd be off and running.

Well there is an equilibrium here that would be solved pretty easily.
For defense TD > playing real defense > westbrook type play. If defenses kept giving up TDs, offenses would fall at the 1, which causes defenses to play real defenses.

Not benching Gus. The 4th down going for it when ADP told him to. There was another point when he made some terrible decision, but I can't recall it specifically because it blends into his general terribleness.

Ya. He clearly sucks at in game management, but he is a good talent evaluator and creates good schemes.
