Marvin Lewis has been a total idiot in time mangement for last 6 years. He has improved remarkably this season. With all that said as bad as Marvin was before this season Andy Reid would make Marvin look like a genius. Ive never seen a more disorganized coach on the sideline than Andy Reid.

surprised reids failure to call to with 1min left and the hawks kicking a fg didnt make this thread. instead they got the ball back with like 15s.

The in-game thread was blowing up. When talk radio mouthbreathers talk about a bad clock management decision, you know it was really, really bad, and I heard several people rip Andy for it today.

ok, just wondering. i mean, i couldn't rank at least half the coaches because i never watch some teams play. Pete Carroll might be the goat when it comes to this stuff (i doubt this is the case tho) and i would never know.

Chan Gailey has seemed ok in this regard.

i cant remember the specificis, but the bengals beat writer mentioned a few occasions where their oc had to "remind" marvin of something wrt clock managment.

I wonder where the threshold is there. I definitely agree most coaches don't play third down with fourth in mind which is a problem.. but I certainly don't know the solution.

Is one shot at gaining 4 > 3 shots at gaining 10?

I don't understand why coaches like fake field goals, fake punts and try to block punts, but they'll never go on 4th and short anywhere on the field.

Easy to blame a failed fake on an audible by the up-man or holder.

But yeah, I don't understand a fake in any high-leverage spot where going for it is "correct."

Another similar one. Is that no one ever decides to go for it more often on 4th down to avoid elite returners. They are just like "well lets punt it 40 yards straight OOB" because my punter is perfect and if he ****s up it's on him.
