- White in the game = 97% pass play
- Michel in the game = 82% run play
- Michel + Develin in the game = 90% run play

I honestly don’t know if this is more wtf pats (because they’ve had similar splits between white and Michel in the past) or wtf chargers, how can you still get gashed for 35 in a half.

On the side of good coaching, Dallas had a pretty stout run and pass defense going into the game but were ranked close to last in play-action plays.

Going into the game, Rams were at the top with play-action on 35% of their pass plays. They upped it even higher, using it on 55% of their pass plays (numbers from these two posts were per the Ringer NFL show).

nah he would have had 2 TOs 5min left n saints pinned inside their own 1, his chances of getting ball back with plenty of time to score again would have been huge.

I think taking a knee might be better than kicking the FG in that spot.

Multiple people have said this and it's probably more wrong to have this opinion than it is to kick the FG. Obviously these numbers won't be entirely accurate due to being averages and not specific to the teams, but PFR calculator has up 3 at your own 1 with 5 minutes left as 76.7% (http://pfref.com/tiny/KmsJb) and tie game at own 25 with 5 minutes left as 58.6% (http://pfref.com/tiny/EFvlG), so taking a knee is giving up almost 20% win equity relative to kicking a field goal.

Down 4 at own 25 is 21.2% (http://pfref.com/tiny/Goaud), which I think makes going for it is correct if conversion percent is ~32% which from 1 yard out it trivially would be.

More proof for my long-standing theory that Belichick isn't a genius, he just looks like one because his peers are a bunch of mouth-breathing Mikes.

I only watch like 7 NFL games a year, but I've heard people say the Rams coach is good. As far as I'm concerned, kicking a FG in that spot negates every good thing he ever did. He essentially blew a chance to go to the Superbowl since the Saints were gonna run out the clock and kick a FG, but then lolrefs kept him out of the thread title.

The decision to punt was terrible - but did the Patriots quick switch almost work? Romo said the Chiefs had 12 men on the field, but the Patriots didn't get the snap off in time and took a delay of game. I didn't pause it to see if that was true.
