Had England only made ~50 more, it couldve been a great sweat

It still was a pretty good sweat imo. That hour after lunch the crowd was well up for it. Pretty tense stuff for a while when they didn't score a single run for over 20 minutes, and it was quite dark at times too.

India get run through by one hell of an average spinner :O

New Zealand to beat India and lock up finals place in the ODI tri-series

(also Ian Smith is definately a New Zealander who was a wicket keeper in the late 80s early 90s and commentates both cricket well and rugby averagely)

lol pietersen and england. england batsmen are just distinctly average so i guess i can't complain too much about them doing terribly against a good bowling attack in favourable bowling conditions

kill me now. 14 minutes in and we've already lost 3 wickets

These conditions are near perfect for bowling though.

Badders, it's bad enough that wickets are dropping like flies, then you go and **** the bed by saying that Formula One being on this weekend is a good thing? You've just mad a bad situation worse, sort yourself out man.

Go to your room and think about what you have just said, there won't be any talking with Badders either, he's sitting on the naughty step.

id rather he didn't. all proper present day allrounders get knackered by 30 or so(oram, flintoff) with the endless schedule, its almost just too much opening the bowling and have to bat in the top 7 as a batsmen with all the preparation he needs to put in before matches in the nets and the pressure he puts the side under when one aspect of his game isn;t on form.

I think hes better of been an opening bowler/first change who bats at 8 where although he takes his batting seriously his main concern is bowling because his bowling qualities are so good that he can be a genuine world class bowler. Kallis has just about got through his career by being a reluctant bowler and bsically rationing his spells. If he bowled like bresnan who in reality is a fourth bowler in a international bowling attack, i could see him batting 7.

obviously unbelievable day. with the new ball well gone and the forecast good for tomorrow theres a real chance one or both of these guys can go on to get a really big score if someone can hang around for a bit at the other end.

didnt want to post during the day in case i jinxed the partnership!!

Ugh Broad given out after a review. Just 3 short of a world record for a no.9. Hope someone can hang around long enough now to let Trott get his 200.
