Sehwag was just brutal. Let's see if Gilly can respond...

Shaun marsh is pure class. No idea how he isnt a regular in the Aussie side..

Sehwag makes 77 off 35 and takes 4 catches, Marsh makes 95 off 44.

Warner gets MOTM for making 77 off 48

I doubt Sehwag cares, but yes that is odd.

Anyone else already feel like they're nearing overdose point on the IPL?

Gonna watch the start of the Bangalore chase to see if Gayle tees off, but not really fussed otherwise. It gets hyped up a lot but there are still loads of mediocre players in all of the teams.

Wow just saw the worst wide call ever..

Vettori was standing a stump outside off and he gave a wide for a ball that passed inside the wide line on the same side..

Bet it wasn't as bad as the one which was called wide which Irfan Pathan nicked through to the keeper.....

Alastair Cook to be new England ODI captain

http://www.espncricinfo.com/ci/conte...ry/513742.html

He's not even in the ODI team. As solid as he has been in Test matches, he can't clear the ropes and has a strike rate that, over the long term, will crucify us at the beginning of ODI innings.

Can't see why they've gone this way.

Jeez delhi. Not since the Wi team of the late 90s have I seen a team so reliant on one batsman..

They have won 4 games and Sehwag has made 114(56) 77(35) 80(47) on an awful pitch and 40 odd in those games. I guess it helps that his mind is so uncluttered that he doesn't think about this **** while batting..

Unfortunately I missed Sehwag's innings, I managed to catch most of Gayle's today though....wow!

Gayle is just, scary.....

4 matches 282 runs 2 centuries SR is a staggering 197..

The funny thing is he went unsold so he was availible for every team for peanuts compared to others. Imagine him opening with Sehwag, delhi wouldve made 300+ in a game..

David Hussey cost 1.5 mil, Gayle - 400k.. LOL.

That was probably the best t20 innings Ive ever seen. They were 29/3 in 7 overs chasing 175 and won with more than an over to spare after Sehwag was done. He was dropped twice but you need that luck when chasing 12 an over..

Haven't watched any of this IPL since the first couple of weeks.

Is Gautam Gambhir's 5 o'clock shadow painted on?

Gayle is superhuman. Hits the ball so cleanly, every six he hits goes atleast to the 2nd tier..

Yeah Gayle has gotten scary. I'd be interested to see how much he weighs now compared to when he started for the WI 12 years or so years ago. I remember him as being kinda slender, but he looks 20 lbs heavier now and always had huge natural strength and timing anyway.

I liked the interview with his IPL team's fittness coach. He spoke about how much weight training he does and then spoke, as if he was in some kind of awe, about AB DeVilliers. It seems he's seriously good at every damn sport, and the coach mentioned a claim that he could run 100m in 10.7 seconds. I don't believe that but him and Gayle must be the strongest and most athletic cricketers out there.

Another observation about the IPL at the moment. What the **** is Jessie Ryder doing with his face? It's like he's trying to win a silly stubble/beard competition every game.

Is Chris Gayle real?

He's played just 6 matches and has 398 runs at an average of 99.50 and a strike rate of 195

He's currently second on the runs list, but with Sehwag out of the rest of the tournament he could end up top of the pile despite having turned up half way through the tournament.

And LOL at choosing 333 for his shirt number
