Both Tests starting at the exact same time!

Brisbane’s wet weather forecast:

We probably won't get any play on Sun - but we should only lose a couple of hours on Sat and maybe the 1st session on Monday - we should still get a result particularly since WI batted first

Loving the Windies so far

Breath of fresh air seeing some of these new faces compete hard!

I'm at the game right now. The humidity is horrendous and I can't believe how Australia has batted so far. Steve Smith is no opener

And btw can't wait to play the poms in this kind of heat

I know the big 3 are planning tests but a bit of an anomaly is happening in the Ranji trophy.

Huge mismatch of skill but it's still incredible.

Arunachal Pradesh bowled put for 172 and Hyderabad are 529/1.

If that's not crazy enough for you then know that some guy got 185 from 105 balls.

If that's not crazy enough for you then know that some guy is on 323* from 160 balls.

Also this is day 1. Run rate north of 11.

Bat 2nd and get a triple on day 1.

Yeah, I did happen to read about the stats on that innings overnight

India are inexcusably bad at fielding

They need the match to go to 5 days for the ad revenue

One of the best days cricket from England that I can remember. I watched 95% of it

Our only problem is our lack of bowling penetration. But the pitch has been messing around a ton so if we can set them 200 and get lucky, we’re half a chance

57 runs from England so far in the Test with the reverse sweep against spin, the most since records began in 2006.

i didnt see much today. but i saw the first innings, and pope looked about as comfortable as an elderly lady with severe piles on a 100 mile tandem bicycle ride. you could have given him twenty lives and he wouldn't have reached 148

funny old game

Pope looked nervous and tentative for the first 20 mins he was in. Really heavy hands and was lucky to survive/

But he relaxed and played very well

Yep. Brilliant spell from Joseph and really great fight from England

I got West Indies at $9 last night. Only a small bet but it’s got me watching that game over the England one

At lunch in both matches:
AUS need 29 runs with 2 wkts left
IND need 231 runs with 10 wkts left

Both could go either way.

Shamar Joseph, you absolute legend, HAS to be player of the series. West Indies win by 8 runs at the Gabba! Just try to convince me that Test cricket is a dead format.

Smith 91*, S Joseph 7/68

Series tied 1-1, Australia lose their first ever D/N Test match.

Shamar Joseph will always be remembered in Australia. He retired hurt yesterday and wasn’t even going to bowl or field today, then he bowls 12 overs unchanged and takes 7 wickets!

I know you’re trolling but it was ABSOLUTELY the correct decision. It’s a D/N Test, we took a wicket and should have taken two except for a dropped catch. Having the West Indies 2/13 instead of wasting time with Hazlewood the bunny was again, ABSOLUTELY the correct decision.

There is no comparison with stupid decisions from Stokes declaring on day 1.

agreed that there were reasons, unlike the england fiasco in which we essentially decided to score fewer runs at a lower rate

nevertheless, OOF, OY NOY, etc

Love to see new superstars born.

That yorker on the toe Shamar Joseph got last night was brutal. I thought he was out of their attack all together for today. For him to bowl like that and get 7 wickets to win the test was just brilliant to see
