I've poured you a nice warm glass of ESB mate.

Things might improve now, both of your batsmen at the crease.

Went to bed at lunch, just got up and seen the highlights. Wow!

Only a shame that the Aussie lower order got as many as they did, but to be fair Strauss would have snap-called if offered 268ao when he inserted them at the toss.

And what's this about Cooky hitting a six????? Surely proof if it were needed, that the Aussies really are on the back foot in this series.

Did England really put them in? I was going to ask this tongue in cheek last night because England will feel they'll only have to bat once. Yeah, they've got to be disappointed with how many runs the tail got but overall they'll be pretty happy.

Re: India - how much longer will Tendulkar go on? He's about to go into his 4th decade of playing for India.

Yeah, we really did insert them. And Ponting admitted he'd have bowled too, that's why they went with four seamers plus Watson, plus the spin of Smith. With so many to share the load with the ball, the one thing Ponting shouldn't have to worry about is overburdening any one bowler. Could be interesting to see how he handles his attack if another big partnership develops.

He's still doing well, playing a lone hand against the South Africans so far, he's 36* with India in big trouble at 71-5.

Next summer will surely be his last tour of England though. He'll be 38 by then. Gonna be a good series, I've got my tickets for Lord's and The Oval already

Forget my last post...... Tendulkar now out for 36, plumb lbw to Steyn, who, in partnership with Morne Morkel, is putting in a brilliant performance here with the ball.

India are getting destroyed right now............ 71-6

Their batting line up is all fine and dandy on their piss easy, road-flat subcontinental wickets, where everyone gets a ton, but stick them on a greentop against a quality pace attack and, with the exception of Sachin, they've struggled badly.

Yeah, Harbhajan did bat with a "won't die wondering" attitude, which is always likely to offer chances to the bowling side. He was very unlucky to get out like that though.

Dhoni is giving it some humpty though. I wonder how much he can squeeze out of this last partnership. Whatever it is it won't be enough.
