Yeah, we really did insert them. And Ponting admitted he'd have bowled too, that's why they went with four seamers plus Watson, plus the spin of Smith. With so many to share the load with the ball, the one thing Ponting shouldn't have to worry about is overburdening any one bowler. Could be interesting to see how he handles his attack if another big partnership develops.

He's still doing well, playing a lone hand against the South Africans so far, he's 36* with India in big trouble at 71-5.
Next summer will surely be his last tour of England though. He'll be 38 by then. Gonna be a good series, I've got my tickets for Lord's and The Oval already
