Gutted. He was the Aussie I loved to watch bat in the late 80s. Brash, arrogant, but bloody great. There’s a great shot from 87 when he pulls one for 4 and hits a pyramid of beer cans that were lined up on the boundary wall.

Dean had had breakfast at the hotel with Brett Lee then suffered a heart attack in the lobby. Brett gave him CPR but was unable to save him. Dean Jones has the 5th highest ever peak ODI batting rating:

I wish Justin Langer wouldn't come out and suggest these things like this as Cricket Australia would never have Deano as he speaks his mind too often. It might have been a passing thought at one stage looking at how well Deano has coached PSL before but he needs to think about the reality of things actually occurring in the current CA structure because I can bet him that CA would be much like Cricket Victoria and Deano had no time for them either.

Was watching that on tv. Possibly the best bit of fielding ive ever seen

I fail to see how anyone could field any better than that without the throw back resulting in a run out.

Someone gets promoted up the order out of nowhere, stinks it up for 23 balls completely bogs up the innings and then just smashes 5 sixes from an over

That 5th game between WI and Eng women was something else.

42 for 7 off 4.3 overs was the winning side's score. No one got to double figures

Wow, if you missed the KXIP vs MI IPL game you missed an absolute rollercoaster. 2 Super Overs and just absolute drama back and forth. Well worth checking out the highlights.

Yeah

Super overs in both games today.

Whole thing would have been avoided if Chris Jordan knew how to run in a straight line

Crazy ODI between Pakistan and Zimbabwe about to go to a super over.

Zimbabwe just Bill Buckner-ed the final ball of the inning from Pakistan's #11 to let through a boundary to level the scores

...And then Pakistan loses their two wickets for two runs.

I'm just going to flag this which I know I have probably said before but West Indies aren't going to be a force if they keep having Roach spearhead their attack.

Windies, like most teams don't care about the longer format sadly

SA v Eng called off yet again, surely just cancel the tour now. Shambles.

Ok so I got my wish that Roach was replaced. Let's how the windies go. Might not happen overnight though so have to give the youngsters a chance.
