Pretty gripping test match day, wish we had more than one batter capable of scoring runs abroad at the moment.

England about 1% to not lose the game after those drops.

The Indians have made some desperate mistakes already. 1 x 3 day warm up is not sufficient. Dropping Pujara for KL Rahul is a disaster. Playing Pandya (a nothing player) Ishant and Yadav is insane. One of Jadeja or Kuldeep has to play. It's not even close.

England really are a bunch of pathetic losers. Everyone playing should retire from professional cricket except maybe Sam Curran

Great game. Well done England for turning an easy win into such excitement.

The planned weekend watching cricket isn't looking so good though.

God I hope this isn't another adelaide, Kohli deserves to win one of these for once.

Our batting is utter shiite though, says something about the other test sides when we are the #1 side.

Any cliffs on England's capitulation with the bat in the 2nd innings?

Bundy: The pitch was sporting, ball moved and Sharma and co bowled well

This is the sort of pitch and conditions needed to keep Test cricket alive. Nice article discussing this on Cricinfo by George Dobell today

We improved just enough to lose narrowly while touring abroad instead of getting thrashed.

Quite frustrating this after the SA series.

Kohli top scored in our last Australia and SA tour, given how **** the others are he's probably gonna be the top scorer for india this time round even if he doesn't get another 100, but one guy can only do so much.

great match, alot of criticism about test cricket recently but this was a joy to watch

Yeah, great Test match. Given England's win-or-get-thrashed recent experience at home just about anything is possible here. From India winning easily to England winning 5-0.

I did think India would probably take the series but I'm going for Eng 3-1 now, mainly due to how ordinary India's batting looked other than Kohli.

Hell of a ball from Curran. Commentary on Sky presumed batsman had played on but young Sam is swinging it round corners. Another 5/10 mph and he's Wasim.

I'm going to really miss Jimmy Anderson with the new ball, swinging it around corners with the crowd singing "Ohh Jimmy Jimmy" when he finally retires. What a legend.
