Could be but like katich/Watson its more a dearth of options.

i haven't followed cricket for a few years, so it came as a surprise to me to see Shane Watson opening for the Australian Test Team...

Yeah I never really rated him as a batsman but apparently he's been doing alright lately.

Wow I should get on the draw at 5:2. Ball is now 25 overs old. Looks like Johnson willbe doing the dog work once Hilfy comes off - he's only bowled 2 overs this innings. Pitch/bowling isn't as dangerous as this time yesterday.

Crowd is a lot lower atm. Methinks the Barmy Army had a big night, possibly drowning their sorrows.

50 up yo - nice drive by Strauss. Maybe that will stir the Eng-er-land suppprters

45 minutes played and it's now in to about 5/4.....

Aussies look pretty placid at the moment, and no Johnson so far

we've scored at nearly 3.9 /over this morning actually... wouldn't expect an aussie to be able to do such hard sums though

He screamed down the microphone like a little girl. Apparently Hussain set a chair on his foot.

Gower lets out a huge scream - turns out Hussain has planted his chair on his toe

They've taken him to the hospital for a scan. Preliminary reports show a stress fracture - should be out for 4-6 weeks.
