At least when its our turn to bat a few lads will be able to pad their stats and get a few centuries under their belts

High 130's > the low 130k pies that Trent "Speed Demon" Boult was spewing imo

Yes I mean the question is: is this the best NZ have?

Look at Boult's results last 18 months. Amazing. He's just out of form. Give him a test or two and he'll be back.

I guess that highlights the difference in class b/w Australia and NZ. Boult wouldn't be getting a game for NSW on exposed form this tour.

Sadly I think it is. If they're pedestrian on a relatively bowler friendly pitch like Brisbane, they will be in for a world of pain when they have to play on the concrete roads in Perth and Adelaide.

Hes coming back from stress fractures in England he will get better, awful timing for this tour

Southees hurt now just great

We were always going to bat like **** in our first dig, look at the lack of prep our batsmen have had thanks to the rigging by Cricket Australia

Well done Kane he is all class alright

Brisbane hasn't been bowler friendly for about 15 years.

Good to see both Burns and Khawaja perform. I always thought both were quality and were flicked too soon after showing some promise at the start to their careers.

Its bowler friendly relative to Perth and Adelaide imo. At least in Brisbane you usually get something before lunch on the first day. This pitch has been pretty crap though tbh.

Yeah I mean look at these results:

NZ bowled out for 76 in the second innings inthe 04/05 test match

http://www.espncricinfo.com/australi...tch/64107.html

West Indies get dismissed for 210 and 129 in the 05/06 test match

http://www.espncricinfo.com/australi...ch/223889.html

England get dismissed for 157 in the first innings in the 06/07 test match

http://www.espncricinfo.com/australi...ch/249222.html

Sri Lanka get dismissed for 211 in the first innings in the 07/08 test match

http://www.espncricinfo.com/australi...ch/291338.html

Australia get dismissed for 214 and 268 in the 08/09 test match while New Zealand get dismissed for 156 and 177.

http://www.espncricinfo.com/australi...ch/351679.html

West Indies get dismissed for 228 and 187 in the 09/10 test match.

http://www.espncricinfo.com/australi...ch/406189.html

England 260 in the first innings but then 1 for 517 (so a great track) in the 10/11 test match

http://www.espncricinfo.com/australi...ch/428749.html

NZ 295 and 150 in the 11/12 test match

http://www.espncricinfo.com/australi...ch/518947.html

12/13 flat deck - SA 450, Australia 565 and then SA 5 for 165 (drawn test match)

http://www.espncricinfo.com/australi...ch/573007.html

England 136 and 179 in the 13/14 test match.

http://www.espncricinfo.com/australi...ch/592397.html

India 224 and Australia 6 for 130 in the second innings in the 14/15 test match

http://www.espncricinfo.com/australi...ch/754739.html

Now admittedly Australia had an awesome bowling line up in the early years with the likes of McGrath and Warne still around with Lee at the peak of his bowling powers too but really these scores show overall that the bowlers do get wickets here.
