Was wondering yesterday as well, where's snicko?
Snicko is not yet being used for the UDRS, it takes to long to synch the sound and pictures.

Erm, yes, because he's far and away the best spinner in the world.

See, he's just nabbed Marcus North (although tbh North is a bit of a lol batsman and I'm amazed he's in the team)

He doesn't look that impressive to me.. I guess it's more of a statement on the state of spin in world cricket than Swann.

looks the part to me (obv not in Warne's class but that's not a criticism)

How much have you seen of him?

I'll admit not much at all, but looking at his stats he's only played 24 tests and his great series are against Pakistan Bangladesh and WI all of which have lol batting lineups. He averaged 40 in his series against India and Australia..

I think he looks good so far but is unproven against good batting lineups to be given that accolade.

I guess haters gonna hate..... who you think is better then?

Before you answer, bear in mind that being English, he's got a lot of his wickets in England, perhaps the least spin-friendly pitches in the world.

Warne's average vs India is 47.

Most experts seem to rate him and people like Warne are going by what they have seen of him.

Should be amn interesting series for him, definitely tough. You're going to be hard to impress if you don't count wickets against lol batting lineups

Swann won't do much in Australia. No offspinner ever does.

I think calling a spinner who's untested against the best 4 batting lineups (Ind Aus Sl SA) the best in the world is a stretch, if having that opinion makes me a hater then I'm a hater I guess.

FWIW I think England bowled amazingly the last session specially when Clarke and Hussey had just come in..

Epic fail by umpires, taking players off in broad daylight.

I mean, momentum with Aussies right now, so not too disappointed as an England fan, but even so, as a cricket fan I think it's pretty lame

QFT they have got to do something about this. Ridiculous they're not playing now.

Day 3 starts half hour earlier to make up some of the time lost today, and as play finished after exactly 80.0 overs of the Aussie innings the new ball available immediately.

Could be a bit cloudy with the earlier start so maybe some swing about. Still very excited about our chances.

Well, I'm glad I checked the thread or I'd have missed a few wickets ;-)

Should be a really good day tomorrow. I've a feeling that Johnson may get a tonne one time this series, but hopefully maybe not against a new ball...

The numbers 35-18 beg to differ.

Gonna be a very interesting day today, the first hour will be huge. If we can't get any early wickets we could end up in a very bad spot. On the other hand if we bowl them out quickly we will have the upper hand with them having to bat last on this wicket.

FYP

You gotta listen more carefully to Beefy if you want to get the correct terminology

If Australia are so great why aren't they the Ashes holders? They do like giving it out don't they?

Have been enjoying Warne's commentary though, interesting as well as pretty much unbiased

Dear God/Satan/Santa
All I want for christmas is Hussey to bat all day and for us to go on and win the ashes 5-0 again. Thanks in advance.

Hussey and Haddin will get centuries, Aus will go past 500 and England will collapse again
