These 2 innings were surreal to watch, this guy Anderson is a full on superstar to be, amazingly crisp hitting hell be around for a long time, I just hope he doesnt burn out playing all 3 forms of the game

Amazing to see Jesse back like this, its a real shame hes not fit enough to play tests but ill take his playing limited overs rather than nothing at all

Ill call it now and say Nz will win the world cup

Just watching the Ind-NA ODI, and WASP might be the WOAT gimmick statistic.

Worse than rpm-meter.

Didn't see it but read that Milne bowled some really quick stuff. Just what nz need if he can stay fit.

Whoa! didnt even know a cricket thread exited on 2p2! Very cool.

So what are the thoughts on the upcoming T20 WC ... Still far away but ... Who is the favorite and who would you actually like to see win?

T20 is a massive variance fest because of the nature of the game of course.

I hope that one of the smaller nations can actually win it so there can be more encouragement to have those teams play more often in these shorter formats of the game.

Reality I think South Africa are overdue, but I always say that anyway.

They've been overdue for the past decade.

So much FREE MONEY has been made by just laying SA in major ICC events.

Lol I'm not the one to believe in superstitions but its hard to deny claims of SA being cursed. Anyways. I think their current squad is probably one of their best in recent history. I think if the tournament was in SA they'd be a big favorite with the subcontinent pitch idk. I still though hope they win. Huge fan of steyn and amla

It that kid didn't have an attitude problem I would give a **** about him or, I might be over reaching here but if he changes his attitude he could come really close to being the next tendulkar.

Regardless I think India does have the sickest batting line ATM. for tests at least.

We don't have anywhere close to the best batting lineup in tests, too inexperienced.

Regd. Kohli, he's toned down his outbursts over the last year and has become alot better. In ODI's his career stats to date are far ahead of anyone else in history including Sachin, the most amazing aspect of it is his ability to perform in big chases.

Sure it's a young line up but all of them have already put up solid numbers ... all of them are averaging in the 40s except Suresh Raina (who I guess pitches in for bowling as well so...) .... and this coming from a die hard Pakistani fan and SA has the second best batting line up (mostly because of the experience they carry) imo

Can anyone tell me the value that SA cricket provides to the world in terms of corporate dollars? It seems to me that SA cricket is so closely aligned with India that it doesn't have its own real identity to justify a fourth seat at the cricket's governing committee compared to the current proposed three (between Aus, Eng and India).

Surprised they dumped in. He has few yrs in him to play international. Oh well he can still rake in millions over next 5-6 years playing ipl etc

Anyways was thinking about running some sort of a fantasy thing for t20 like for $20 or $50? If ppl interested ? Nothing too complicated

Im obviously super biased as an Aussie but outside of the openers I dont think you can rule out any of the others

Openers are obviously going to be pitch dependent and you can make cases of the four I mentioned plus Graeme Smith Cook Jayasuriya and Fleming as well

I actually like the pick of Hayden but I don't know if Gilchrist is justifiable.

Allan Donald ahead of Steyn. Akram is first XI (not close). Warne/Murali is the age old debate - could go either way IMO. Don't think Pietersen belongs if this is a test XI. Chanderpaul > Pietersen at least.

^ agree with most. donald for sure over steyn ... although steyn is my favorite bowler, donald was just too good in his prime.

also i dont think we need to pick bw murli warne ... id play them both like i did in my xi
