Interesting comment about the use of Virtual Eye instead of the Hawk-Eye system. I know they're pretty similar in what they're trying to do, but why don't the ICC just have one standardised piece of kit which is used in all matches under their jurisdiction. Why is it at the discretion of the host broadcaster?

Because not all host broadcasters can afford to have the same technology at every game. This is why there were no reviews at all last time England played in Bangladesh for instance. Bit of a joke that the ICC don't provide the tech themselves.

Well, he's just done a couple of the India/NZ games. He made a few mistakes there, but he's still pretty good imo

Which is why I said "why is it at the discretion of the host broadcaster?"

Obv the correct answer to why the ICC don't have it is because they're a bunch of useless tossers who are more concerned about image rights and a load of other irrelevant other BS, and they aren't that interested in the actual game.

It's 2 "lives" per team per innings. If your review is upheld then you don't lose a life.

I love it when Trott rakes a trench out in the pitch for his mark like it's nothing.

Player for player England have been much much better lately than the Aussies, but as an Englishmen that worries me! Think we would do much better without any expectations. Should be a good series either way.

Bat first and start the sledging with Mitchell Johnson would be a good first session!
According to another forum BBC internet coverage is working in foreign lands

Well, first drinks, not too bad.

Even the best batsmen get out early on occasion, but pretty much OK from that point on. Still feeling very good about things
