Seemed to be some fairly colorful language thrown around in that last over . Maxwell should of smashed that last ball, it was the easiest of the three. Was a pretty shocking final over by the bowler tbh.

The best thing about that was the commentary from Hussey- "I don't really understand Sri Lankan"

I don't really get what Maxwell was on about, it was basically a meaningless exhibition match, why so serious . The way he was acting you'd have thought he'd play 50+ tests when in reality he's just a bum from domestic cricket. Maybe a bit harsh but he made himself look like an idiot imo, especially since odds are that he's not hitting that last ball for four which opens himself up for all sorts of carnage which eventually did get dished out to him

Maxwell has no right to tell the opposition to hurry up. Only the umpire can do that.

It's pretty standard at the death in any T20 for Fifty50 for the fielding side to take a little time to discuss options.

He deserves the little abuse he may receive. A minor incident all in all

I would be happy if Fleming was coaching NZ.

"Batting Coach’s: Mike Hussey / Michael Bevan

Warnie obviously wasn't sure if it should be "Coach’s" or "Coaches" so just decided to use both.

Wasn't it Shane Warne who thought international teams shouldn't have all these specialist coaches as players at international level should know their trade well enough by that point.

Or was that just something he said so he had an excuse to have a go at John Buchanan?

Warne is so big in Aus that him whinging on twitter actually does open up the possibility of the entire coaching structure being dismantled.

I think they'd lol at some of his selections though. I know Big Merv was a selector, but him and Darren Lehman are hardly what the ACB are looking for in terms of projecting a healthy image of Australian cricket

He's right on Fleming though, was an excellent captain. Also a pretty good call with Mark Taylor who has been the best Australian captain for at least the last 20 years - and there have been some decent ones in that time as well.

Probably the best part of it all though was Warne putting names out as coaches for every role except spin bowler. Very subtle Shane

Pretty sure it would have been just another excuse to have a crack at Buchanan

You played 50 overs a side?

The shape I'm in I doubt I could handle fielding for 20 these days.

I love watching the Aussies get a good ass whipping

Also I'd like to add that Shane Watson is a bits and pieces cricketer who is not good enough to be in the Oz team

The way he ridiculously overacts on his bowling follow through (OOHHHHH!!!) after EVERY ball of his military mediums makes the game almost unwatchable for me

Hey Douchebag, you are bowling 130kph and hitting the middle of the bat, why are you acting like you just delivered a threatening hand grenade down the pitch??

And how about that conversion rate?

Test opener my ass, Stephen Flemingesque

I hope they keep picking him though, nice that Aus will always have a gauranteed weak spot when he plays

Ojha not playing was fairly hahahaohwow.jpg. But now it is surely safe to drop Harbhajan now he's played his 100th test. I think he's done as a test match bowler.

what do you call a great Australian cricketer?

Spoiler:
retired

Ashes won't be as bad because we actually have a decent pace attack. Batting is just embarrassing though which is made worse by some of the selections. For a guy who can't bat v quality pace, and just proven he can't bat v spin, it's simply astounding how Phil Hughes has been favored by selectors. And lol at Doherty and Maxwell selections - Michael Clarke was probably Australia's best spinner last test. Steve Smith is being talked about for the next test which would tip off a pretty horrific tour. All the while Kawaja will probably get overlooked again. I don't know what he's done wrong, but other than Warner he's our only young player who's looked like being able to handle quality test bowling in recent times.

meh khawaja is cack against spin and hughes has improved his technique against pace bowling. Hughes deserves to be playing over Khawaja imo. Then again Khawaja couldn't do any worse than Hughes has against spin in this series, so he'll probably get a game this next match.
