I'd be surprised if 145-150 is enough vs. us here, we play their bowling reasonably well.

And yea lol SA and world cups, laying them before WC's seems like the easiest way to make money ever, especially because they always top 2 pre-tourney favorites everytime.

I don't think they have beaten us in a wc since 92...

The last super 8 matches should really be held simultaneously like the UEFA CL etc., but the ICC is too cool to let **** like fairness get in the way.

No-balling it makes sense as it is the bowler who is at fault.

I assumed they would be until checking today. It's a bit unfair to the teams playing first I guess, but it's 20-20 and all about entertainment etc so I can live
with it.

Apparently Bairstow has been practising keeping wicket so it looks like Keiswetter is out tomorrow.

It's about maximising TV revenue and yes it's a bonus for the fans so I'm not complaining. It would actually be a bit odd if the teams didn't know what they had to do to get through.

If SA go out England can take this. Go England !

Completely agree.

I dont think a team will go out and tank, but surely there have been enough instances in the past of teams not going out perhaps as hard as they could of (Australia vs West Indies in 1999) and there was talk of us tanking vs Kenya in 2003 to get them in a semi rather then Murali on a low slow Port Elizabeth pitch, but that never happened.

I hope for the next world cup they put integrity over a few bucks.

More evidence of the absurdity of batting Taylor at 5 tho.

England win, england and sl go through. England hammer sl, england and wi go through.

Any other scenario, sl and wi go through.

Wow jayawardene is playing and sanga is captaining, doubt ive seen that with another team before. Captain and vice captian need to really get along for that, that **** would never happen in india.

The "let the ball through so hopefully Bairstow gives up 4 byes" is being under-utilised imo

160 is probably the par score here, 10 more SL are decent favorites, 10 less England win, imo.

Is it confirmed England just need to win?
