Lol England - exceptionally bad, even for us.

In the WCQ UAE beat Zimbabwe by 3 runs - lol Zimbabwe.
Winner of Ireland v Afghanistan tomorrow qualifies for the World Cup.
If that game is a tie or no result, Zimbabwe qualify on NRR.

Ireland & Afghanistan are my two favourite teams in the 2018CWCQ.

Actually, that's wrong - Zimbabwe's NRR has now dropped below Ireland's, so a no result puts Ireland through. A tie puts Zimbabwe through, because Ireland's NRR will drop below Zimbabwe's.

Lol Zim

Lol ICC not creating a tournament that is at least 14 teams.

Williamson now on 18 test centuries

NZ all time test record already and he is only 27.
Annoyingly the amount of tests played per year is decreasing constantly

Afghanistan 86-1 after 17 chasing 210 to qualify.
If they get there, that's quite an achievement after losing their first 3 games of the tournament (to Scot/Zim/Hong Kong).

Brutal not knowing which teams to root for here.

This is getting ridiculously close.
Afghanistan need 28 off 30 balls with 5 wickets remaining - all 3 teams still in it.

Glad for Afghanistan, gutted for Ireland.

Ireland seem like a pretty old team and you could see how gutted their players were. Final chance for a final WC in all likelihood.

If today gets rained off, England have a chance. NZ 175 ahead. England would have to see out about four sessions.

Aussies just got caught systematically ball tampering. This video is just a piece of it.

Bancroft tampered the ball with a foreign object (sandpaper)

Lehmann sheepishly got on the walkie talkie with Handscomb

Handscomb then goes and talks to Bancroft, who hides it in his crotch.

Then when asked by the umpires goes and shows them a different coloured cloth.

Heads will roll.

Theyve admitted to ball tampering. What a bunch of cheats.

Can the umpires give Bancroft & Smith red cards so they are both replaced with twelfth men? Because that kinda seems like a reasonable play here.

How exactly is Smith taking the line he shouldn't quit as captain over this?

No idea what the process is but you'd think that both will get horse whipped and surely Oz will have to find a new captain. Though if it's Warner then they'd be replacing a cheat with one of the biggest dicks in the game. Not great PR this tour for Oz.

Smith: "I'm the man to steady the ship"

It doesnt seem to matter that he's also the man who steered it straight into an iceberg in the first place.

Also they're saying that Lehmann somehow didnt know which I dont buy.

Fwiw I think it's possible that Lehman didn't know, and it's possible that this was the first time they tried it. They can't expect people to believe that though.

I bet Bairstow is secretly loving it after the way that Smith and Bancroft behaved after headbutgate.

Here's a moderately interesting question that I saw on twitter - apparently this was discussed by whatever the Australian leadership group is. What would the internal repercussions be if Bancroft told them to go **** themselves?

Nothing at all I would have thought. He's not a baby and, if anything, you'd think that those who suggested it wouldn't want to treat him badly with what he knew.

Smith said it's the first time they've done it, it's amazing how everyone who does something like this is caught the very first time! Also then said he would have felt guilty and horrible even if they weren't caught. Then why the **** did you do it you utter moron? #draintheswamp
