Is it me, or does Alastair Cook's running seem decidedly ordinary? I'm thinking particularly when he's non-strike batsman. Despite having the supposed advantage of backing up he always seems to be a pace or two behind Straussy when he gets to the other end. Pretty sure Straussy could lap him if there was an all-run four......

I stayed up all night to watch it, gotta go on a traditional boxing day annual piss-up now....sigh. Nice to see us dicking the Aussies again though i guess, probably the most one-sided day of test cricket i've seen in a while (well since Adelaide anyway).

Dame Edna, Ned Kelly, Mark Webber, Shane Warne, Men at Work, Kylie Minogue, Hugh Jackman, Holly Valance and Rupert Murdoch, your boys took one hell of a beating today.

Australia are such a shadow of their former selves that I almost feel it's not worth gloating. Almost.

i hear you, but being up against a poor England side in the past didn't stop the Aussies from milking their successes, did it?

One of my major regrets in life has suddenly become that I don't have enough Aussie friends to rip the piss out of right now

Ok that review was a weird one. Nothing on hotspot at all but it certainly looked as though he nicked it from the front on view.

Ponting's endless complaints to the umpire really starting to get a little boring now. He really needs to be censured for this latest one. If you're the skipper you just have to accept the decision and get on with the game.

And this is a great example of why there should not be any player involvement in any tv replay system. It just encourages further dissent at the umpires' decisions.

After seeing snicko now he definitely didn't hit it. The deviation was presumably just the ball swinging a little as it passed the bad.

Ponting arguing this much is really bad though, he should certainly be fined for it.

Problem is that fines of a grand or two mean little to players worth millions (when you add endorsements etc.)

ICC really needs to get out the banhammer imo

Did I read somewhere that you also have some issues with the legality of online poker in Australia, a bit like the Americans? They can't advertise real money, but they get round it by advertising the .net "play money" sites though
