Me too man, me too. It's just tough when it feels like everything that can be said has been said at this point. Plus, liking combat sports means that you have to deal with this thing at some level. i have no clue how to embed a instagram video but check the last two videos posted by Dana, shows Conor knocking Paulie down & snapping Paulie head back with a left & that's 16oz gloves, those shots are knockdowns or better in 8-10z, Floyd is FOOKED!!!

Here's all 3 hours of workout plus questions and the like.

Conor is obviously an elite athlete but man there are some major issues with his form and punch selection that stand out. I will say, there are some punches and combos he throw that look tight. Won't matter against an experienced boxer who understands distance tho...

First video shows a really nice lead left but there are two big issues. First, he's trying that pawing sort of feeler jab and Floyd will eat that alive. Secondly, Jesus Paulie, defense bro. My biggest concern is that Conor throws what is presumably his best punch at Paulie, hits him flush, and doesn't even wobble him. Looks bad for the "What if he lands that left" crowd.

Second video with the "knockdown" looks decent for Conor, but he does shove the back of Paulie's head down to push him down. Lands some nice shots against him in any case.

Conor is also loading up his shots quite a bit. There's a lot of "lunging" that Floyd will notice quickly. If the difference between Paulie and Floyd weren't so great, it would be a more convincing sign.

Hopefully Paulie is OK from the concussion in time for his fight with Conor.

Everyone can hate on Conor, even in mma there's guys with better striking fundamentals in terms of always keeping chin tucked & hands to chin etc but they don't strike like him. Mighty mouse, Frankie edgar etc all strike with more or less perfect technique but you wouldn't say they can strike like Mcgregor, can't wait till he snaps Floyd old head back and shocks the world.

I gotta say, after seeing the Instagram clips I'm feeling a lot better about riding the Mcgregor train.

If you want something even more hopeful to grab on to, it seems like a big part of Conor's game plan is on pretty clear display in those clips. He's hoping to use his lead hand to control and move Floyd. No one has ever been able to manipulate Floyd in the ring but at least Conor is showing a willingness to think outside "well I'll just outbox him".

The only way to beat Floyd is to out muscle him and keep him from letting his hands go. Floyd is too accurate to be outboxed. No idea how Conor can move and manipulate well enough to pin and pressure Floyd, but if he's going to win it will be that way.

He got hit. He is trying to slide/lean right and gets hit with a left hook and it knocks him back to the right and down. The across-the-ring clip shows it clearer.
