Conor McGregor vs. Floyd Mayweather (August 26th) - Page 75 - Sporting Events and Fantasy Sports

Im a ufc moron and this is the 1st and likely only time i spend money on boxing. Its not because i think Conor will win, its not even that i think he will be competitive. Its because im a Conor slappy and would rather be out $100 watching him get destroyed than save the $100 and miss a miracle upset.

Im under no illusion about the product im likely to get in return for my $100. I would guess the same is true for the majority of the other ufc morons that are tuning in.

Props to you, this is the healthiest attitude I've seen from a self admitted "ufc moron" and "Conor slappy".

Hopefully all the bettors piling on Conor at anywhere from 4/1 to 6/1 feel the same way and are just lighting their $100 bet on fire, in case of a miracle upset, even though the true odds are somewhere between 25/1 and 50/1.

But from some of the posts itt, it doesn't seem that way.

Conor is working on how to throw low blows out of sight of the referee. Most likely outcome - Conor quits on his stool sometime around the 7th round.

Nah the general consensus is that a guy who has split his training up over his career into many different fighting styles is going to beat a guy who focused on one fighting style and went on to win multiple world titles and go undefeated against other guys who trained in that one fighting style. And he's gonna beat him in a fight under rules that limit the way they can fight to that one fighting style.

So the guy who has most of his skills nullified is going to beat the guy who excelled at the highest level there is in the fighting style they'll both be using.

I think the vast majority of mma fans put CM as the massive underdog. I'm in the 'prob gonna get owned, but you never know' camp.

Even Brendan Schuab is just saying he thinks Conor will win a round.

Yeah Schaub seems to be the most vocal supporter of Conor's chances in this fight from the MMA world and that amounts to him thinking Conor might win a round or two early before Floyd figures him out and also that Conor wont be KO'd.

This is what i meant.

The most vocal supporter Conor has will only go as far as winning a round early before Floyd figures him out.

Dana White who stands to make alot of money promoting Conor usually goes with the line "Everything Conor has ever told me he would do he has done, so im done doubting him".

Actually now that i think about it the one person outside of Conor that consistently says Conor will win is Skip Bayless.

And of course that ignores that it is really really dumb to think that a top tier expert boxer needs any time to "figure out" what a clueless novice is doing.
