Most of the large bettors.

What if the line doubles?
It won't, at least not before they get in. The only reason the line would move higher is their money coming in. They can see and respond to line moves faster than anyone else on the planet. They can get in whenever they want, if it moves higher and they want to get in then, they will, or can wait for whatever # moves the needle for them.

You just lost a ton of equity by waiting a few extra days.
Not as much equity as they would have lost by not betting and getting ROI for the past month+.

Quote:
That doesn't seem like a good risk/reward for waiting. Time value of money is not that valuable.
This is wrong. Do the calcs, or read/ask in the SB forum or others. This is not controversial.

Not that he needs it, but you know Floyd will give Paulie like 50k to have a 5 min talk about those sparring sessions, just in case.

To be completely honest I'm impressed that Conor did some damage to even a fat andoutof shape old Paulie I figured Paulie would school him but tough to argue with the pictures of his face

Love Paulie as an announcer but he is annoying as **** on Twitter so I'm entertained

Thing with Paulie is that he never fought above 147 and he was a very small 147 when he did. Yet he's sparring against somebody who fights at a much higher weight. Despite that, he still didn't get dropped. No surprise with the weight difference he looked the way he did while Conor didn't seem quite as hurt.

Paulie was wearing the open headgear as well

Yea from all I heard and saw(mostly from Paulie) it seems to me that Conor got the best out of the sparring which is pretty impressive if true.

Paulie seemed to be making excuses about his cross-country flight, made several comments indicating that Conor surprised him and admitted that Conor beat him up in the last couple of rounds. Plus his face.

He works for showtime.

He can't say "lol this fight is a bigger joke than I thought"

You say this but yet Paulie claimed several times now that he beat Mcgregor's behind, he works for showtime & he shouldn't be saying that either. Paulie is a emotional human being getting butthurt by twitter fans perception of him & how well did vs Mcgregor.

p.s Paulie & Floyd roughly same size, both should be 140lbers in boxng & 5'8, Floyd is older & retired for longer, Floyd getting whooped, 49-1.

lol @ beating an out of shape retired marginal boxer in sparring translates into beating the best boxer of the last 50 years.

2 weight world champion in boxing= marginal boxer, makes sense( if you're trying to discredit Conor).

Listen Conor vs Canelo, errol spence, gg= Conor getting embarrassed & 100% chance he gets ko'd within 6rnds. Floyd is old, will be forced to come into the fight clean due to usada agreement 10weeks out & coming out of retirement of 2years. Floyd maybe goat boxer but Conor has a chance due to circumstances & people denying him that much is crazy, but prepare for the world to be shocked on the 26th. My bday the 27th as well, will get a present seeing the doubters face when mma ends the boring ass sport of boxing.

Think he means the 26th of August, but his sentence comes at you from an awkward angle.

The timing is coincidental.

He's 26, don't let him tell you nothing different.

Belts are meaningless in boxing these days. It's an alphabet soup of bull****. Four per division plus all of the sub-belts and belts from no-name commissions looking to make a buck off the sports diminishes their value.

This is why Paulie was not a great fighter

If i got 10:1 i'de bet Conor, it's currently 4:1 so no i'm not betting Conor. As big of a Conor fan i'm i know Floyd even being old & shot is still the favorite, i just think he has a better chance than people think & really want Conor & mma to pull off the win & end the dissrespect the media have been giving to Conor/mma since the fight was announced.

aham, all talk, just like Schaub when it comes to actually putting the money when your mouth is. and you can get 6 to 1 for Conor by KO, unless you think he can win by decision. 6 to 1 is still pure gold. what if the odds go to 8 to 1, still not betting huh?

One thing that throws a wrench into my theory that Paulie vs McGregor fight is next is that for the right price the UFC doesn't mind Floyd KO'ing mcgregor (although it remains to be seen if this would hurt his career if he looks very amateurish in there) but it seems unlikely they would be OK with him getting beat up by a retired boxer who wasn't that great of a fighter in his prime.

Paulie pretty much giving it away on Twitter that it was hard for him to lie about Conor's skills, basically saying Conor sucks
