It's hard to believe that the CM slappies actually believe this **** and aren't just trolling:
Quote:
Conor's not a brawler he uses reach and understand distance well. He just hits hard and has sick timing and instincts
Not when compared to possibly the greatest defensive fighter of all time.

but perhaps his length and power at range will allow him to outpoint (or win some rounds) against Mayweather
Maybe if he changed his name to Aussie McAusserson and fought in Sydney with the same idiot judges from the Horn/Pacquiao fight...

The media is making mma & Mcgregor seem like some bum off the street & i hate how they're portraying him in this build up.
In boxing terms, he IS some bum off the street

Heard tonnes of casuals saying they are interested in seeing the two different sports clash & they genuinely are unsure of who is going to win
People are really stupid. I mean, really, really, really stupid.

Serious question: Is Jeff Horn more skillful at boxing than Conor? cause he looked sloppy as hell vs pacman & won a decision vs a boxing gr8 in the last outing, i think looks alot better than Horn boxing wise & i just think overall these boxers are overrated in their technique, mma isn't too far behind & we will find out on 26th of august who's correct.
Yes, he is much more skillful.
As far as technique goes, think of it like this 3d graph
All of those peaks are different techniques. The giant one in the middle is the generalized "boxing" technique that has developed over the years. Sure, you can try something different but the peak that is available to you is significantly lower than what is available to someone who is training in the "correct" technique. It might look better when it's used against someone who is using a similar technique, or one that is even worse; but decades of evolution and improvement of the boxing technique means that it's extremely unlikely that there is another path out there that has a higher peak, or one that's even close. If there was some sort of secret "angles and stance" technique that could trip up the best boxers someone would have found it by now.
Something similar has happened in MMA since it started. All the different fighting styles had their own local peaks and once they started interacting with each other the lesser ones started falling by the wayside and the best started incorporating other styles and techniques.

You all have a very good chance of being short many many betting units if you bet on this.
"Very good" compared to the chance that
I beat FM. But really this has to be <1% chance for CM. Floyd is 49-0. That's thousands of minutes in the ring against guys who were legit boxers and in none of those minutes were any of those guys able to do anything against him. His most realistic chance of winning is some combination of a fluke (headbutt makes FM woozy; FM accidentally steps on CM's foot, twisting his ankle and leaving him unable to move like he needs to; CM steps on FM's foot and FM twists and damages his knee as he tries to move away) followed by a lucky punch.
