"Words can't even describe what will happen"

The correct words are "Connor gets his face pummeled by an expert boxer"

Honestly though most MMA fighters are bums in comparison to the top athletes in other respected sports around the world. There just isn't nearly as much expected money in the sport to attract the top athletes into it. Even overall boxing talent has fallen off over the past ten to twenty years as most of the top "would be boxer" type athletes choose to focus their attention on other sports where they can usually make more money without getting punched in the head all the time. Boxing is an amateur and Olympic sport with youth boxing clubs all around the world so it does still attract a fair bit of athletic talent at the youth levels.

While I respect many of the MMA fighters and do enjoy watching many of their fights, McGregor going into to fight Mayweather in boxing is like the equivalent of the guy that won the 100 meter dash in the decathon racing Usain Bolt in the 100 meters.

This isn't true at all. Usain would win every time unless he pulled up lame, and that would never happen as he wouldn't have to push himself hard. McGregor could land a 'lucky punch' and win every now and again.

lol no. You think Floyd's never been hit hard before? Dude has been hit hard by professional boxers and still won those fights. Even if Connor lands a hard punch (lol) it doesn't automatically end the fight. Floyd has a very good chin.

Ok, so there is more variance in boxing. My point was more so to discredit the believers that someone how feel McGregor's skillset is going to transverse well over into boxing just because he is a skilled striker in his sport.

Mayweather is undefeated fighter, arguably one of the greatest of all time going for his 50th straight victory against an inexperienced novice boxer in Conor Mcgregor. What makes so many people believe this is the time that the variance in boxing will catch up to Mayweather? Especially at the terrible odds people are laying their money down on McGregor.

Sure. I mean, Mayweather has somehow managed to avoid lucky punches from 49 other mostly world class boxers, maybe he's due!

He's often had a reach advantage. (close to always)

Most of his fights were at 147 lbs or less.

Some of the bigger names on his resume were against fighters a good 6 years removed from their prime.

Some of the bigger names were against good light weights who moved up to 147 lbs for the payday.

His best win is against Canelo, that's a solid W, nothing to say here.

He hasn't always been 40 and retired for two years.

Paul Williams and Sergio Martinez are glaring omissions from his resume.

Conor probably merks every one Floyd's ever fought as well.

The odds of Usain pulling up lame seem higher than McGregor winning.

Hard to say cause Floyd is 40, if we're talking the same floyd that fought 2years ago then i say he stands a better chance vs Canelo, just cause he's open to be hit more than Floyd thus giving Conor more of a chance to win. Only reason to give Conor any kinda chance in this floyd fight is that Floyd maybe just too old n shot.

This will absolutely be the hardest fight of Mayweather's career.

You all have a very good chance of being short many many betting units if you bet on this.
