Pretty good read on the story of a D1 collegiate offensive lineman who had to stop playing because of concussions:

I personally would feel better about concussions in college football if the players were paid for each one they experienced.

This didn't age well.

Thought it might be a good time to bump this. I guess having medical professionals/spotters "protecting" the players in the NFL has obviously failed.

I remember Case Keenum being obviously concussed and staying in the game. And there was another QB that got concussed and stayed in the game. He had his hands up near his head and they were trembling. It was so obvious but I can't remember who it was. Part of me thinks it was Keenum again.

Anyway, the Tua thing is just so blatant. A back injury against the Bills? GMAFB.

10.5 years later and the NFL still doesn't give a **** about player safety.

I did like the update that Tua wasn't paralyzed. Ya' know, because his injury was a true mystery.

Players are going to need to pick their own doctors to have on call.
