What do you have to do this year to demonstrate to the Michigan community that you are on the path to achieving what they hired you to achieve?"
Lol. Harbaugh is a great coach but he's not a God. It takes time to clean up someone elses mess. Personally I think winning 28 games over the last 3 years in the wake of Hoke--one of the worst coaches ever--is a worthy accomplishment. But of course that's not a sexy story so naturally the media will try to twist the narrative another way.

Well no matter what anyone thinks, here we are with a team that's officially Harbaugh's--the most talented roster Michigan has had in over a decade. A minimum Top 5 team in the nation that can beat anyone.

Harbaugh has done his job. He has brought the most prestigious program in the history of the game BACK to the summit of college football. But of course thats not a story that generates many clicks, but it's true nonetheless. And the truth is about to smack everyone in the mouth in South Bend in less than four weeks.

Lol you realize ND murdered Sparty 38-18 last year right? You better drop another $2K on Michigan for 1 September while your analytical powers are at their peak.

Meh I think Sparty was the better team by the end of the season, but yea that's a flimsy thing to say, I'll grant you that. That said, Sparty is clearly better than ND this year now that ND's NFL offensive line is gone, and the fact that this may be the best Sparty team since the 60s. They're coming back loaded and they have the best college QB they've ever had.

I will have at least $5k on Michigan by game time. Up to $10K if the line moves the right way. I've been dreaming of this kinda free money opportunity my whole life. I won't let it pass by.

Is this a greater free money opportunity than Floyd vs Conor was?

Honestly, no. The two greatest free money opportunities I've ever seen in my life was Floyd vs Conor and that time Maryland started a true freshman linebacker at QB vs Georgia Tech and was only a 7 point underdog.

I leave it to you to figure out which was free-er. I can't do it. Would be like trying to choose which one of your children you love more. Either way, those two events belong in a category of their own.

The next step down would be that time in October 2014 when Indiana was starting a clueless 5th string QB due to massive injuries and the market didn't come close to adjusting until after he started like 3 games.

Ok, after that comes Michigan moneyline vs ND this year. So yeah, in my entire storied life, only a few moments rank ahead of this free money opportunity.

So the NCAA is allowing UNC to stagger their suspensions of players?

Are you ****ing with me? I don't care if they share positions, deal with it. Put the towel boy in or don't play.
08-06-2018 , 05:59 PM
Suspension staggering thing for UNC is hilariously NCAA of them, even by NCAA standards.
08-06-2018 , 07:44 PM
That might seriously be the most NCAA thing ever. These guys make FIFA look good.

If a football tree falls/suspended in a basketball forest . . .

Unfortunately Vegas agrees with ILP and favors UM on the road. I don't know if the bookies factor in every warning light of a classic Brian Kelly Egg Lay.

I don't actually have an opinion on the Mich/ND game. I don't think I can name three players between both teams and maybe not even one since I'm not sure if the two guys I'm thinking of are still around. Definitely zero plans to watch any of it. Heck, I might not watch more than three SEC games this season. I'll probably see more Purdue football than any other team.
08-08-2018 , 08:01 AM
ND might kinda suck this year honestly

Michigan prolly pretty good
08-08-2018 , 08:54 AM
Both teams are likely to be quite good this year. ND returns a ton of starters off a pretty good team that played GA even. UM might have the second best defense in the country after Alabama and finally has a real QB.
08-08-2018 , 09:56 AM
That was Fromms first start. Georgia definitely got better as the season progressed

Yeah but that Oline is about to get destroyed by Michigan DL + Devin Bush

Seriously this. Two things, one of which I've already mentioned. What hasn't been said yet: ND's quarterback, Wimbush, sux. The only reason ND looked decent last year is because they had an NFL line. And as I've said before that line is gone now. A bad QB behind a non-elite OL is going to get slaughtered against perhaps the best DL in the country, and probably the best defense overall in the country. Michigan has the best linebackers and DBs they've had since 1997. And there's no way ND is gonna contain Shea. The only way Michigan loses this game is if they have like 5+ turnovers. This game should be over by half time. This is a game where Michigan can get experience for their 3rd stringers. That's all it is.

Ok, Clemson has like 3 first rounders maybe 2 top 10s on their D-Line

Let's not get carried away with best Dline in the country. Clemson is fielding a legit NFL line
08-08-2018 , 04:13 PM
Both ND and Mi are returning their front 7 on defense. ND had to promote a DC but the scheme is the same. I'm also worried about qb Wimbush. That position just never improves under Kelly.

Last year Michigan had the 7th most talented team, ND 10th.

you beat me to it...Clempson's d-line is ridiculous. all of them return and 3 of them were projected in the first two rounds of this past draft. their entire starting front 7 from last year return. they bring back 100 percent of defensive line tackles, 76 percent of linebacker tackles, and 73 percent of defensive back tackles.
oh, and Brent Venables is probably the best defensive coordinator in college football.
