I don't really see a good argument for UM > UW:

UW - Pac 12 Champ
UM - 3rd in Big 10 East

UW- One loss
UM- Two losses

vs. Buffs
UW - Won 41-10 on neutral field. They outgained Buffs 383-163 (4.91-3.02 YPP) and won turnover battle 3-0

UM - Won 45-28 at home. They led 31-28 when Buffs' QB went out and had to play green backup. They outgained Buffs 397-325 (5.59-4.85 YPP) and won turnover battle 1-0.

Not that this should support the notion - but the folks repping for m*ch*g*n bring up the SOS and SOR. Wash does have trouble there. But after watching a couple games they look pretty good.
