you mean who do i hate less, well I guess I'll go with FSU, solely based on home field. At least in their bowl they looked good, I havent seen Miami play a decent game in about 4 years.

I know it's been pounded home already, but LOL Virginia. What in the hell? How is it even possible for that athletic program to flounder so badly?

No i dont think its been pounded enough. I didnt see anything from that game, but goodness. Remember when they were pulling in sick recruits 5-6 years ago?!

i feel like missouri and illinois should trade some basketball players and football players so maybe one game would be interesting every once in a while

didn't see colo-CSU game myself, but i assumed colo gave darrell scott one carry because he was injured for much of the game...... but apparently he wasn't. coach's son has 40 passing attempts though.

anyway, even if darrell scott doesn't match his hype at all, you got a mega-stud recruit to boulder. giving him one carry in his first game of sophomore year, do you not worry other stud recruits will tune out colorado?

i like the theory that peterson was instrumental in boise success and that hyped coaches who don't get it done for years are bad ATS picks (my original theory is they're overdue)

Has Al Groh been fired yet? I don't feel like googling it.

yep... you are right there... I agree with that
cannot bail out completely on the run game and, especially, the best offensive player

If you give carries based on high school hype and not current ability, do you not worry the current team will tune out Dan Hawkins?

Hawkins went for it on 4th down in his own territory with plenty of time left in the 3rd quarter. I was watching at a bar, but it seemed like it was 4th and a yard and a half or so.

I'm genuinely excited for these two games today. I expect Needle to be pretty disappointed...Cincy is legit very good imo. Also expect Miami to surprise FSU, they are insanely athletic. If their players picked up an ounce of football sense in the offseason, look out.

Off to the bar now. Heres to hoping Martinek is a stud, Natale doesn't bust, Johnson rapes their LT, and Davis is the best LT in the nation.

Oh and most importantly that Schiano doesn't **** up royally.

Went with my old school Ryan Hart jersey over the Mike Teel. See if it brings better luck this year.

I'm telling you, Cincinnati is cincinnasty.

let's see if their defense is reasonable... interesting to see Natale get the start.

Schiano with some surprisingly good 4th down calls. Cincy with all kinds of fail on 3rd down.

Nice answer by Rutgers, with two short fourth down conversions, 7-7. Looks like this could be a good one.

20 play drive, lol

Yeah, that was pretty ridiculous. Ran 10:30 off the clock on one drive. I can only think of one other drive that long (Navy in some bowl game) that I've ever seen. Wasn't even possible before the new clock rules.

Agree with both, I'm obv a huge go for it proponent, and liked both of those calls, but I am a much bigger proponent of going for it on 4th and 1 from the 39 yard line than from the 18 yard line. I feel like for most college teams, 39EV - 0 is > 18 EV - FGEV.

Both of those were short enough to be good calls though esp considering Rutgers seemed to have a clear advantage in the interior.
