Suz no way the expected onside recovery rate is 5%, its way higher than that.

I think the onside kick rule change was that you need to have four players on each side of the ball and can't overload one side anymore.

ya I never heard anything about not being allowed to pound it into the ground early and hope for a high float. I think its just really hard to do.

From my limited knowledge of the game it seems defences are better at defending the into the ground onside (by having rhe front guys go in hard to block for the hands crew in behind)

As such with the hands guys being further back the "dribble" kick hoping the 6th string DT fumbles is a reasonable way to attack an onside shot.

I thought this was a 15 yard unsportsmanlike penalty? Or is it only a penalty if the refs fall for it?

Time for a title change after RICHARD PITINO and his Gophers were outscored over the final 10 minutes despite playing 5-on-3!

Asked about it in the post game interview, Pitno said,
"I haven't worked on an offense against 3 players"

Imagine how brain dead you'd have to be to not be able to come up with a winning 5-on-3 strategy on the fly. Yikes.

It's not like they got outscored by a point and the game was never in doubt, they had an 11 point lead get whittled down to 3 while having a two man power play for 10 minutes.

Yeah gonna have to lol wheatrich here, I posted in the college bball thread about it. Bama were just giving them wide open looks outside the paint. I say wide open like they were barely defending, but they literally were not defending outside the paint. And they still lost the point differential with a two man advantage in a five man game and people are defending it with 'they still won'?

Stanford 2&10 from their own 1.5 yard line.

Play clock running down Shaw calls a timeout to prevent losing about 2 feet.

They still end up punting from about the 6 after two more up the middle runs.
