He can't hire good coaches? The idea is good in theory, I mean we're at the point where college athletes, at least basketball/football players,
are pros. They are the driving force behind a billion dollar enterprise. Yet they see nothing. Also, college athletes kind of have their feet in like 7 different pools, if you're going to shove the student-athlete bull**** down their throats, then you have to at least let them be students. Their schedules are ridiculous, they have no time to actually study or live a semi-normal college life. And somehow despite that, their progress as athletes is also hindered since there is a limit to how much they are allowed to develop and improve their craft.
So set up a similar structure to college basketball except without the ridiculous rules that only serve to steal from the people providing the service. This will allow them to a) make some $ in the short term and b) give themselves the best possible chance at reaching their ceilings as players since they can put all their focus into the sport, rather than have to maintain the charade that they're half students half athletes.
Of course this will never actually happen. The NBA is in bed with the NCAA and there's just too much $ to be made for the rich white folk who run the NCAA. So they'll work something out. Maybe the NBA will disallow anyone who plays in a league like that from entering the draft? IDK, ESPN is already doing their bidding though (they have to make $ off these kids too!). Their main man SAS ripped the idea to shreds this morning apparently.

This is basically impossible, DUCY?
