The absolute cheek on Ole to complain about refs in a loss and not acknowledge when decisions go his way. Unheard of in the manager community really.

Yeah the Luuk de Jong signing is a huge tell to affirm that theory.

Knowingly walking in Van Gaals footsteps by overdoing it on the Dutch% is one thing.

To sign (and play!), out of all Dutch players, a Luuk de Jong type of player is even worse.

Worst of all, it's actually Luuk de Jong himself.

Can easily see UTD still failing to qualify. Next 3 are Atalanta X 2 and @ Villarreal. 1point or less wouldn't surprise me.

Possibly kneejerking a bit here, but I'd honestly be somewhat surprised if we went through at this point. We have an awful run of PL games around those CL fixtures as well, which won't help.

There were apparently some signs the players have had it with Ole yesterday. Donny threw a strop when he put Lingard on and Pogba basically ignored him when Ole came up to him after the game. I didn't really see enough of the game to have noticed it myself but there's also talk among the fans that the team basically looked like it had downed tools.

I've been resigned to him staying on for a while longer but with basically two straight months of really tough fixtures coming up he might actally be cooked soon enough.

Yeah prob this too. Mendes will be in Woody's ear soon enough, planting the seeds. I wonder if Woody can stomach another sacking before he leaves tho. Might just wait until january and let the new bean counter deal with it.

He's about as short term as Mou if not more and quite volatile. Meanwhile we've been restructuring the recruitment department to have a more long term outlook. I think he'd clash with the owners/beancounters/football directors early and often and eventually storm out when they refuse to fill the team with 33 year old wing backs.

He does seem to guarantee results in that short term tho so maybe it would be a fun short ride.
