This is Real Madrid's 4th CL final in the last 5 years, with an opportunity to win a record 13th title. Due to a mix of playing bad, the squad being slightly downgraded compared to last year and having various injuries, Zidane's players have lost the league in the starting months of the season, sent the B-team to get eliminated by Leganes in the Copa del Rey and as usual in these last few years, they were left with focusing solely on the CL, where Real Madrid looked better and better as the they advanced in the tournament. This has been one of the most difficult paths Real Madrid has ever had to the CL final, starting from the group stages and then facing the champions of France, Italy and Germany. Cristiano Ronaldo has been crucial once again, producing 18 out of the 30 goals scored by Real Madrid in this CL campaign.

High intensity, speed, fast counterattacks and a front three that produced about 80% of Liverpool's goals in this CL edition is what secured them a place in the CL final. As opposed to Real Madrid, Liverpool have had one of the easiest paths to the final. Injuries and fatigue seem to be taking a toll on Liverpool in the last few games.

I think you’re trying to say - Liverpool’s defence is crap, they signed VVD and improved dramatically but they are still a bit iffy at the back. They won’t be able to keep out Reals attack.

Can’t see them having the legs to match us. If we (and the referee) deal with the almost certain excessive amounts of diving, cheating, complaining and general blackguardery I think we will win.
